Historically we are a yo-yo club between the bottom two divisions. We did have a brief spell in the second tier, but few fans are alive to recall that one!!!!

We are on the up though, and we do hope, eventually, to establish ourselves as a yo yo between the second and third tier.
A new hope.

This will be a fun couple of months :(

It would appear that every club in the world is bigger than us. However will we cope?

But the great majority of that time, at least in the last 40 years, has been in the third tier. Nothing mega, but something to be proud of nonetheless.

Pigtown.

Population of Swindon borough 180k
Population of Chesterfield borough 100k.

Swindon's name derives from the words swine (piggies) and dun (hill). Not the cigarettes.

The majority of supporters on this board probably don't live within the Chesterfield Borough.
If only....

Oh no has the trolling begun already.

I wonder if facts work well with them. Like the fact we get more fans with a smaller town to pick from and are in a higher league than them.

But as there from the south and probably uneducated (unless your an exile spireite) il not hold my breath

No I don't, but that was an interesting statement by Skywalker and if he is correct should we include NE Derbyshire & Bolsover in our catchment area, what would the figure be then?

Bolsover - 74,600
North East Derbyshire - 98,300
Chesterfield Borough - 101,000

Total = 273,900

But seeing as Swind(le)on is the only league team in Wiltshire that will increase their catchment area considerably!

I suppose it's not that long since Swindon were in the Premier League and the 2nd tier, how the mighty have fallen, at least Swindon aren't rooted to the lower echelons of league two like Bradfudd.

I can see it all now..a sea of red farming smocks at one side of Wembley singing their little hearts out whilst trying desparetly to keep their pieces of straw tucked into the corner of their mouth.

The population of good ole Boza is nowhere near such a figure, if the figure quoted is the 'Bolsover District' as per council election area then your spreading the area right back into and overlapping other population zones.

Population in Bolsover is circa 11,000.

If your lookin at Boza population as per its boting constituency then its completely unreflective. The parents vote in Bolsolver North elections despite living in Higham. No idea how that works..
