Everybody has put their 2 penneth in on this subject and some have sid that they have contacted the club regarding this, has the club responded or have they stuck their heads in the sand and hoping it all goes away.

Geoff Mitchell or somebody at the club looks at the message boards as they sometimes block/ban people for being "a bit over the top."

A club response to supporter concerns would be appreciated.

Can I have a seconder for this proposition please?

There is a post at the top of page 4 (I think!!) from someone who rang the club and has posted their response to his questions.

Im sure Oldham fans would like to be in our shoes, worrying how and when we will get our tickets.

I'd rather be in their shoes, safe in the league pushing for the play-offs.

7 points above relegation zone, 13 points behind play offs. Last 8 game form table, Oldham 18th, us 13th.

well thats better than just being ignored I suppose, even though it aint gonna change owt. Anyway, ive calmed down now and decided that as someone else said...its a lottery - and I might get better seats on thursday than i would have done tuesday, but glad to see the clubs acknowledging the fans concerns at last !!

Could have been made so easy. Put them on sale to all ST holders from the 14th limit them to 2 tickets per person, Then put them on general sale forcing all those hangers on that never come to matches stand in line for their tickets and lets hope it's tiddling down

It just comes across as daddy's little rich girl, who hasn't got a clue about either money or raising a family tbh. I'm suprised you haven't had a -1 from everybody with kids and household bills

Well seeing as I have a job... I do know the value of money, I even worked Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day this past holiday because I'm saving up all the money I can. I also help a lot with family budgeting at home and know exactly how to make money go as far as possible. So to say something like that as a personal attack is rather more insulting than anything I've said here, I'd have expected a little more maturity from a grown man.

And with good reason, to have someone who has no, or very little, knowledge of the family financial struggles in todays world tell you its "easy" to save £40 if you really wanted to is wrong.

I think we all know that this argument is going to go on and on until thursday comes and we get our tickets, (but i dread to think how it'll pan outif we dont get the ones we want!!!) lets put an end to this thread......there seems to be only four or five of us east standers on this message board who are upset about how weve been treated...surely there must be some south stand holders, with a bit of compassion and more than one season ticket holder in the family/ friends group who wuld be willing to help out at no risk/cost/ inconvenience to themselves??

How about those that have more than 1 ST who are going down on tuesday, allow us to meet them in the car park, join the queue with them, wait till we get to the front, turn round, pass spare ST to us, we both buy tickets, ST handed back.....jobs a good un !

No need to be risking handing st over to complete strangers for hours or days on end, no messing about taking cash of people, simply allow someone to queue behind you, meaning a genuine fan stands as much chance as someone down someones local who doesnt even know the name of our keeper, of getting the ticket they want!

Just a thought in the hope some kind hearted soul may help out . Cheers

If a family of say 4, can't afford to somehow save up an extra £40 towards the whole cost before the end of March then I'd guess their financial situation is so dire that they shouldn't be going at all. I don't mean that in a horrible way, by the way, in case that comes across here.
If anyone actually was in this situtation, somehow, I have so many money tips and food shopping tips I can share that will easily save £40 between now and March off a family's usual expenses so they can go!
Anyway, this is getting a bit off topic now so I suppose I'll just have to agree to disagree!

not being funny love but saving an extra £40 may be ok, but when you have to find £200 before you go, then factor in food/drink costs there, you are probably looking in the region of £250-£300 for the day, then an extra £40 is a lot.
