It's a bit similar to the football match in bedknobs and broomsticks.
Really funny to watch at times.

Been an excellent tournament for a change, especially seen as Africa's big guns aren't involved, Senegal, South Africa, Nigeria and the holders Egypt. Good to see Ivory Coast reach the final, but it's written in the stars I guess for Zambia, back in Libreville, where just off the coast their entire team and staff were killed in a plane crash in 1993.

People should open their eyes,it's a big world out there.

Did start watching the highlights shows early in the tournament but just couldn't get in to it. Some good individuals about but a lot of poor teams.

I like the idea of an elephant in goal though.

It was quite hard to watch early on mate, the empty stadiums didn't help much either but the knock-out rounds have been much better. Very true about the tackles though, some of them have been verging on assault but if you enjoy a good upset and rooting for the underdog, it's been a great tournament!

Will probably glance an eye or two at the final to see if it's any good but from what I can gather, as good as the Zambia story is, it's set the final up for a backs to the wall defence (Zambia) V attack (Ivory Coast) match up as opposed to a far more even Ghana V Ivory Coast affair.

Bit surprised to see Ivory Coast there as they looked very laboured in the highlights I saw of there opening couple of games. Suppose it's often the case the winner starts slow and grows in to the tournament.

Fair play to Zambia though, come through a lot in recent years to get there.

If fairytales come true then they certainly have for Zambia tonight.

Is their coach the charasmatic type mourinho-esque personality of African football?
They keep putting his face up on tv.

Nice to see Zambia win.

I always think watching the so called lesser teams is more interesting.

Those penalty spot though!

Thought Drogba was making excuses for his miss in normal time

Singing songs all the way through the penalty shoot-out. Proper class. I hope our lads remember the words to "Amarillo" if the JPT goes to pens!

Edit: I'll add this: :D since some chump seems to think I was being serious.

Zambia put away Ghana and Ivory Coast. Both of those teams have and would give the best teams in Europe and South America a run for their money

To be fair, I've thought their name was written on the cup after the first knockout stage. Over the moon for them, I hope the boys that lost their lives were watching proudly from up on high.
Mug?? Being wrong never gets boring!
