You cant have a preferred area though....only a preferred price you want to pay. You choose your price and get a ticket in the area that is currently on sale for that price.

so do you think then that if i turn up on thursday, saying i want a ticket in the 46 quid range, and the block theyre selling only has front row tickets left...if i dont want them i have to go to the back of the queue and try again when they move onto next block ??? Hope not or youre gonna get people going round in circles all day !!

There average is only just a little bit higher than ours is for this season though....

They will have plenty of hangers on like us though and bearing in mind the size of Swindon they will get plenty of them. They got to the league 1 play off final under Danny Wilson against Millwall and took about 33,000 there in a crowd of 73,000.

Average doesnt really come into it though Keith, they have more of a population to 'pull from' for day trippers, family trip and of course the average armchair fan that will rarely go to live footy, but will make the effort to see his local team in a cup final at Wembley.

IS IT AN IMPOSSIBLE TASK TO PUBLISH AN INTENDED TICKET SALES PROCESS TO ENABLE PEOPLE TO AT LEAST TRY TO PLAN A PREFERRED AREA.

So now after earlier saying season ticker holders down the list should stop moaning and queue jump to get better tickets they should also be last in opting for a block..?
East stand second class citizen.

Going by this post then you choose a price and get given a ticket as they are sold block by block. If you dont like what you are going to get then short of doing what you say then you have no other option.

Spoke to someone at the club this morning, and from what I could gather (apologies if misunderstood), you cannot choose exactly where to sit its , just a price you opt for and get a ticket. The South Stand was chosen first because behind the goal tickets are the first to be sold , hence they would probably want to sit behind the goal. The "unlimited option" is FA policy, as expected not the clubs..but this doesn`t get away from the fact that a hell of a lot of non season ticket holders, and more annoyingly, people who normally dont care a fig about how chesterfield are doing, will have a chance of ticket prices well before East Stand ticket holders.

To be honest its pretty standard selling policy for Wembley. I bought tickets for the NFL last year and whilst it was online it was the same. I chose a price and was allocated a block. My brother has bought them this year and when trying to do it on Monday kept being allocated seats in one block that wasnt great. He left it til the following day and got them in a different block instead which is in effect what you are suggesting.

Going on the clubs rely to an earlier poster, about selling behind the goal first, assuming they then work outwards it looks like if you are after a certain area of blocks it is a case of:

Behind the goal - get a South stander to buy them for you

Mid 1/3rd - get a West stander

corner blocks - get an East stander ( stAnder, not a cockney)

Simple LOL

I too hope we match them mate, indeed hope we outnumber them, its just not going to happen though, population of town 70k (app), of Swindon 155k (borough of 185k).

Think they will be grouped together in specific club wembley and corporate seats to be honest. Looking at the plan there were a couple marked up as Club Wembley and a certain price bracket.

Scenario for you then....if I can find a west stand ticket holder, and go down on wednesday, and stand with them in the queue, then when we get to the front, he orders the tickets but says I am going to pay for some of them.....would that work?? or does the ST holder have to make the payment? or i suppose i could gather £500 cash and go down and meet them there? give them the money when we get to the window and get the tickets id prefer??? Is that an option???

Reading the link to the league website about it it appears club could request how many they wanted based on expected sales. Swindon have gone for all their tickets in one go where as we've asked for an initial 21,000 and then can have the additional tickets to match Swindons allocation should we need\want them.

So it's because CFC only requested a total of 21,000 initially that there are so few £26 tickets available?

I'm not a season ticket holder, Loyalty Card holder or anything, though I do go to every home and some aways- it didn't make much sense to buy a ST as I was out of the country for the first couple of months of the season, and I missed the Loyalty Card offer.

So, I've roped in the missus and three relatives for the big day out, none of whom are regulars, and booked us onto a Bridge Inn coach- can't wait. Not for one second am I saying that myself+my group of hangers-on should get any kind of priority, but am I right in thinking that my only option is to join the queues on 21st Feb? If so, the only thing I can think to complain about is that there is no limit on how many tickets each person can buy.

Apologies if it's been covered above, but the tickets webpage suggests a few tickets will be available online. Anyone know when and to whom please?
These go to eleven.

I've just been for mine and while I asked for our tickets to be as near the halfway line as possible, I was told this could not be guaranteed - but they would try their best.
