I can see the uproar when someone turns up on their day to find the 1/3rd are sold and they have to organise to come back the following week.
Not having a go but whatever options someone puts up on here someone will be put out and moan about it. Current way will upset season ticket holders in stands down the list, change the order and it upsets other stands, all season ticket holders and folk will moan when they have to queue for hours, add a limit on tickets per person people will moan that they can only get five for their family of 6 and one person will be forced to sit on their own etc etc....
I do feel for the club with these things as they are in a no win situation!!
But at least they will had the chance in the first place! If they want the tickets that are in the smaller quantity's (number wise), then you get there early, if you miss out you only have yourself to blame. The way we are doing it at present folks will miss out and there is nothing they can do about it. So which is fairer?
Restricting tickets isn't perfect as you rightly say, but everyone gets treated fairly this way. The overall worry about not getting a ticket isn't an issue as there are obviously plenty of tickets (more if needed), but there is obviously an issue on how fair the system is; so anyone thats not bothered about the ticket bands with lower quantity in number won't be in a great hurry to queue and most would attend the second sales day or later in the day after the initial rush has died down for their ticket in their given sales day(stand); why queue early if you don't need to?
Let loyal STH that genuinely are going to struggle affording this for their family, come down early and queue fairly. Plenty for the rest of us, but hey ho, this isn't going to happen and who cares seem the attitude of many.
For what it's worth Jon, I do agree with you that there is no perfect system and the club would be blamed for what every they did, but their has to be a fairer way than this??
