That was the wrong year, the Leicester game was when Hoddle was in charge of them in 1993. The incident you are thinking about was earlier in 1990 when Lou Macari was manager they beat Sunderland in the PO final, they were not promoted due to illegal payments and Sunderland went up instead.

Yes. You are right, thanks. Still... They cheated at Wembley and don't deserve anything this time.

They seemed efficient enough but hard to judge given Barnet never came out their shell
Didn't seem to be as good as we were last year, but then again who is? Certainly not us!

Barnet are on a bit of a run and I don't think they can be described as a poor team.
Make no mistake, the final will be a tough game for us and them.
Interestingly we both have tough games the Tuesday before the final.
We have Huddersfield at home, they have Torquay at home who are currently in the play offs.
Its going to be worth watching the Torquay results and hoping they keep up the play off/promotion chase so they can't field a 'weakened' team the Tuesday before.
I wouldn't put any money on this thats for sure, putting down a score in the prediction league will be hard enough.
As an aside, my sister was born in Swindon and she used to nick my smarties when I was a baby.
Revenge against the smartie nicking roundabout perverts(is that debacle still there?) will be 'sweet'

By skill and by fighting

Im glad its swindon simply because it will be a decent game, barnet were as poor a side as i have seen and thankfully we never went in for maclean (i thought he would have done a job for us and was wrong) who was absolutely bone idol and looked useless.Swindon looked a decent side and if the truth is known have a player in their side better than anything we have in matt ritchie,i can remember how much quality he had when he played at saltergate for dagenham, ran the show in the 2nd half when he went into left midfield after starting at left back,he has tonnes of quality in his left foot and loads of energy ,we will need to mark him very close, nevetheless i didnt think swindons defence were up to much,i fancy the legend to give them massive problems, swindon actually looked a bit like us to be honest ,used the wings a lot, should be a great game but no reason why we cant win as barnet showed what class of teams play in division 2 ,the step up to league 1 is massive.

However, as Bonnyman said, they did look a bit dodgy at the back, and I can see jack tearing them a new ar*ehole, as he did many league 2 clubs last season.
Will be a fantastic atmosphere with hopefully over 50k people in attendance, COYB

As they have reached the final perhaps DeCanio will splash out on a coat that fits him instead of wearing the undersize potato sack he wore last night (******)

Looking forward to seeing you at Wembley on the 25th!
Intrigued by some of the comments on here about how well your playing recently. Had to log onto the BBC website to check the league table ... Yep, your still bottom ..... Yes, yes you may be in a higher league but there is some serious dross in that division outside of the top 5! Though some of your results recently look better. How bad were you Pre Jan? Have you made many signings in Jan that have helped start to turn things around?
I wouldnt read to much into our game on Tuesday. We got an early goal and controlled it with reletive ease. I think we could still have been playing now and Barnet wouldnt have scored. I think we have lost 2 in 22 or something along those lines. In the FA Cup we have beaten Premier League Wigan, Huddersfield at home 4-1 and won away at Colchester. In the league cup we won away the Championship Bristol City and in the JPT we have won away at Exeter. So just by the list of teams we have beaten I think we will be way more than just a threat.
Anyway I think we will beat you at Wembley and we'll be swapping leagues in May!

What can you say .... The man is target for lower league referees who want the fact they have sent PDC off on their CV's.
He didnt swear, just waved his hands and got a little animated ......... Interesting that when Ferguson or Mancini do it in the premiership they dont get 2 match bans?
