crossley isnt doing a very good job,he gets tonked by mickleover and tonked again by leicester with a very decent 2nd string...only 2 things are possible, the players are a pathetic set of wasters or the coaching and motivational skills are garbage.

I'm more inclined to go with the second option, especially for the 'reserves'.

Have you seen the size of Crossley? What motivation can he possibly give a player? especially in terms of fitness! Chuffing hell!

They do seem short on pint pullers at half time, yeah.

Here we go again. Why are you slating Fleming? Did you see him "let 3 goals in"? Maybe they were all his fault, maybe not. But its unfair to assume they were somehow his fault which is what you are implying. We all know he is nowhere near as good as Tommy, but we would be extremely lucky to have a quality keeper warming the bench in the bottom two divisions. The lad has made some mistakes and gifted some goals to the opposition but, maybe he can improve on his weaknesses,i dont know. I think he is quite a good shot stopper myself and when he replaced Soderberg in the starting line up against Sheff Utd,thought he had an excellent game, probably his best game for us. Also, were it not for some slack defending against Utd he could have come away from that game with a clean sheet. I know i will get slated myself for this post but i think its uncalled the way you seemed to lay the blame at his feet for these 3 goals. I apologise if i have somehow miss read your post, but i dont think i have.

I've said nothing of the sort,I did say he's not good enough and stick with my own opinion of him,he's not good enough. I saw him make a balls up against Mickleover and Heanor,oh and lets not forget the many mistakes he made in the first team.We have been spoilt in the Saltergate years with the fantastic production line of quality keepers,I've nothing personally against Flemm.but he'll never be remembered in the future in the same mould as Tommy,Stevo,Brown,Oggie,Osborne,Mercer,Turner to name but a few. Young West in the juniors looks a decent stopper if he can grow a few more inches.

These three plonkers in charge can't motivate the reserves when there is at least two places up for grabs for Wembley

Unbelievable!!!!!!

The players shouldn't need motivating, what they need is a kick up the 'arris!

the gist of it is that sheridan and his cronies are shocking man managers.looking at that team we have in the past had worst first teams .we have a place in a wembley final up for grabs and they play like that,it smacks for me of players not wanting to play for the management more than anything else, nobody will convince me the players are united behind sheridan and i bet jamie lowry is chuffedv to bits playing a reserve game after playing week in week out at crewe,he will not sign a new contract.

The last four first team games I have seen there has been no lack of motivation.I've seen 3 wins and a draw. The reserves were poor against Heanor.

What motivation do the reserves actually need?

Most of them haven't been in starting eleven in the past few games, first teams picked up results recently, gaffer is watching on the sidelines, Wembley places up for grabs - you'd think they'd step up to the plate to get themselves noticed.

Why is everyone getting there knickers in a twist over a reserve game, years ago we had Paul Hart,Chris McMenemy and Steve Hetzke in the side, no-one were claiming that they were pushing for a place in the side.

Why the minus 1 somebody ? I've seen 3 wins and a draw from a well motivated team. I've seen 1 defeat by a poorly motivated reserve team.No conjecture or supposition but just as I saw it.

Is anyone actually getting their knickers in a twist?

It is just another sign that the club has got significant problems and that some of our squad members are incapable of showing a bit of application with one or more places in the Wembley squad up for grabs.

oh well, never mind
