And we cant sign Clarke again!! We had him for the max 93 days emergency loan time so would have had to sign him permanently or on a long term loan both of which can only be done in a transfer window,

Interesting considering some of the critcism he got when he was here. The old 'lazy' argument popping up again I see. I know he bagged a fair few goals for us and his header vs Carlisle was pure class, but he can be frustrating to watch at times. Not knocking him 'cause, as RPL has pointed out ( ) he's still our top scorer but if Charlton expect him to bag goals in every game, they'll be disappointed. Anyway, what have they got to be griping about, the swines? I find it hard to sympathise with any fan who can complain about being top of the league with a strike force including Wright-Phillips and Clarke, all with a game in hand!!! not quite sure you're right - his change of clubs may have wiped the slate clean - not sure there have been any precedents though
