That's what I was thinking. He can't play in his natural position, let alone another

Gist of it is that all the reserves were rubbish, and can't expect to get anywhere near the first team

And that is more or less what it says before anyone thinks I'm being over the top about it! Although apparently Fleming pulled of some decent saves...

'I don't think any of them can go and knock on his door after a performance like that'.
Chesterfield: Fleming, Randall (Waddle), Gray (Dennis), Ford (Westcarr), N.Smith, Mendy (Hazel), Lowry, Niven, Whitaker, Morgan, Bowery (Wafula)
wonder if that includes Ford, Lowry, Whitaker, Bowery and Morgan, all players who have been used in the first team recently.
No problems with Randall playing right back in this game given he's recovering from injury, but it can't have helped.
We did only have one striker playing though so not surprised we didn't score.

But still let in another 3,he's not good enough to cover for Tommy.

the gist of it is that sheridan and his cronies are shocking man managers.looking at that team we have in the past had worst first teams .we have a place in a wembley final up for grabs and they play like that,it smacks for me of players not wanting to play for the management more than anything else, nobody will convince me the players are united behind sheridan and i bet jamie lowry is chuffedv to bits playing a reserve game after playing week in week out at crewe,he will not sign a new contract.

I don't think they've got man management skills either. If they aren't behind the manager we are definitely down - we've all got to pull together to get out of this one. We'll know in a few weeks thats for sure.

crossley isnt doing a very good job,he gets tonked by mickleover and tonked again by leicester with a very decent 2nd string...only 2 things are possible, the players are a pathetic set of wasters or the coaching and motivational skills are garbage.

Here we go again. Why are you slating Fleming? Did you see him "let 3 goals in"? Maybe they were all his fault, maybe not. But its unfair to assume they were somehow his fault which is what you are implying. We all know he is nowhere near as good as Tommy, but we would be extremely lucky to have a quality keeper warming the bench in the bottom two divisions. The lad has made some mistakes and gifted some goals to the opposition but, maybe he can improve on his weaknesses,i dont know. I think he is quite a good shot stopper myself and when he replaced Soderberg in the starting line up against Sheff Utd,thought he had an excellent game, probably his best game for us. Also, were it not for some slack defending against Utd he could have come away from that game with a clean sheet. I know i will get slated myself for this post but i think its uncalled the way you seemed to lay the blame at his feet for these 3 goals. I apologise if i have somehow miss read your post, but i dont think i have.
