You've planned it all wrong. Leave the other four at home, go with your mates for one night and you'll be quids in.

I know what you mean, the missus and I tried all the cheapo hotels / travel lodges etc close to the stadium and they are booked solid. Said there was some sort of conferance on that weekend. Who has a conferance on a fecking Sunday? Ended up paying £140.00 for a double room at the Wembley Plaza. SHOCKING!!!

To be honest you dont have to be near Wembley so shop around all the parts of London and see what you can get. We looked at stopping over and i found a Travelodge at Kings Cross for about £45 and on our last couple of trips for the NFL we've stopped right over the other side from Wembley in the Travelodge at Oldgate paying £19 each for the night but its on the same line as Wembley Central i think so is an absolute doddle to get to after that which doesnt finish til gone 9pm normally on a Sunday night and we dont normally bother with a tube til 11ish to let the crowds die down. At just gone 4ish for this game you will be able to get to pretty much any part of London pretty easily after the game.

When I went to Wembley in 2009 for AC/DC gig, we stayed in a hotel several stops North of Wembley on Jubilee Line, cant exactly recall but it was Kings(something) or other and we got the rooms very cheap indeed.
"one day, we shall return" (edit - and so we did).
