I agree, I would like a target man to come in but we haven't got one so I'm not gonna cry about it.

Sadly, if anything takes us down, the failure to have this option might well just do it. Alas, one of the many contradictions in the managers thinking at the moment.

Isn't that the point - with the width and pace that we have its criminal that we don't have the big powerful target man option (... and no this definition doesn't include Bowrey)? That's why I feel Knil at Scunny has played a blinder getting Jon Parkin on loan from Cardiff City.

I welcome comments from all, but am I missing something, because it appears to me we are no longer playing with pace on the wing- we have no left winger, but a left side midfielder who has as much defensive duties as attacking, and a workhouse on RM in Drew Talbot. If we were using the wings, the corners for stats would surely be higher than the almost negligible returns recently, as it is very often cut out crosses that equals corners (as when Mendy was playing).

Neat balls through the middle yesterday, and the skill of Ajose gave him two gilt edge chances, and I can see him being able to play up front with any of Lester, Bowery or Boden. No need for a big man- as it would mean altering the set up.

CFC has now got some players that provide good balls into the box from wide positions, including when we put the likes of Ridehalgh, Talbot, Westcarr, Mendy ... out wide. Not to have the big man option is such a big mistake. With the tough games that lie ahead this will come back to haunt us big time.

Look it does not matter if you keep the ball for long periods if you do not get basic marking right from a corner you will more than likely concede, and the second goal is poor judgement from a young player who you could argue was trying to keep possession by giving his keeper the ball....

True, but if we kept hold of the ball better then these things are less likely to happen (Bournemouth being a prime example, I thought our midfield and tactics was excellent that game).
I didn't see the game and from what I've heard from our fans who travelled as well as listening to a very good coverage from the Carlisle commentator, who praised us up well in the first half and told it the way it was for their lot (though he did say they where a lot more like it in the second period and that a draw was probably a fairer result). So it definitely sounds like we deserved to leave with something; but silly mistakes have been littered throughout our season and not just the young inexperienced loan players that you are referring to (it was the same at the back last season, so he's had long enough). Sheridan is the manager and he should have got to grips with this way before now and NOT relying on throwing a team of loans together in a desperate attempt to survive. I really hope he pulls it off, but he has nowhere, and I mean absolutely nowhere to hide if he doesn't (not that some will see it that way).

He made the difference all right 1 up to lose 2-1 :windup

Can't wait to see him in fairness; though I still don't see Sheridan having enough about him to get us out of this.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt for now. Surely one so gifted must be able to be trained to cross a football?

Weren't you saying the other week Lester shouldn't be playing with Jack away from home? Now you want him to do the full 90? About turn left right

I'd read that again and it still reads like we've got 2 Jack Lesters! Wouldn't that be nice!

why bring on strikers when we are 1 nil up ?

he's done this before this season - did it away at Wycombe

why take Lester off - he proved on Monday night that he can be very very quiet in a game and score on 88 mins - ok he won't do it everytime but he certainly won't do it when he's sitting on the bench.

Even after all the recent signings JS doesn't have options on the bench to change the system
