Earlier in the season I would have gone to Carlise expecting to lose before the game began and we probably would have and wouldn't have had any chance of a result during the game as the team wasn't good enough.
Now with the additions I feel we are better than the position we are in, better than the teams around us and in todays game we had the ability to win the match but a goal line clearance and an individual error meant we didn't. It gives me optimism that we went in the game, were in the game throughout and should probably have won against a team in 7th with a great home record.
The're plenty of teams in and around the relegation zone that will all take points of each other...we were 5 points adrift, now its very tight, on another day we could have been out of the relegation zone and looking up....football is a funny old game as Jimmy Greaves once said...there is along way to go...Sheridan isn't going anywhere so its up to him, the team, club and us to do all our best to help them stay up...
Enjoyed reading that. For me? Sheridan will keep on picking the likes of Allott and Whits. He recalls Lowry and then promptly drops him. Signs Ajose and then favours the no trick pony that is Boden. Plays with wingers but has no target man. Etc etc etc. The guys thick. Relegation is coming into view unless he drops the bias and plays the best team.
