Swindon Town Message Board Not Very Complimentary

Thought I'd nip on and see what they were saying about us:

Aside from one fair play to them comment the rest weren't very complimentary and expect to beat Barnet and thrash us.

I'd love us to lift the JPT, of course, but I have a feeling similar to Wembley 95 where the semi-final victory had been the high point. Back then, promotion was at stake, which was a huge prize. I feel as if we've already won the biggest part of the prize (in heroic style), which is a day out at the new Wembley.



If we lose, I'll still be gutted, naturally.

The real prize is to get there (financially anyway), winning would be a bonus I reckon.

Despite them still having to win to get to Wembley and then beat us when we get there a lot of them seem to think its in the bag!! Glad to see they think we're crap and especially the one comment about Hurst being crap...they should speak to Oldham about getting ahead of themselves.

they can shout off all they want but they've go to make it to wembley first...
wouldnt be suprised if Barnet beat them anyway they've hit a bit of good form recently.

And in Mcleod they've got a striker in fine form. I didn't really mind who we played in truth, but you've got to want the underdogs to come good (until they play us). Be nice to see Barnet beat Swindon in controversial circumstances...that way we get to see Di Canio lose his grip on reality again. Very entertaining stuff :)

Interesting reading... Some of it. Full of the usual 'we're too good' cocky nonsense. Form counts for nothing in a cup game, there's no league, it's one game. I for one see no reason why we couldn't win this given our form of late. Should be a good game whoever we play.

Do not know weather anybody remembers but went to Swindon about 9 seasons ago, we got hammered, cost £21to get in (unless you were on offical supporters bus) and they had a SAS lookalike as a steward.

And yes, hated the place ever since :lol:
