Exactly, and look where Sammys playing now, and note that he was probably the best player on the park when we played them in a friendly.

I think Sheridan has bought Randall in to tutor, and slowly break him into the side, to play a role similar to that of Sammy Clingans. Whether it works or not, only time will tell.

The 'Sheridan refuses to go to press conference' story isn't quite as it seems. For CFC Player we were told to go into a particular room but the BBC was in there with a huge camera so we set up adjacent to the team bus in a garage type of thing. Paul from BBC Radio Sheffield and Rob from Peak were brought in there as well (Geoff Mitchell fetched them) - Charlton have a mini theatre for press conferences.

John did Player, then the two radio guys when the Charlton press guy said something along the lines of 'now can you do the other written press' - JS simply said 'do I have to?' and the Charlton bloke said 'no' so Shez just said 'OK then' and he started phoning a few folks. If the Charlton bloke had said 'yes' he'd have gone. The layout there was just so complex, it was a bind and 9 out of 10 times at away games, no-one else other than the usual suspects are interested in talking to him, and if they are, they generally tab hang one of our interviews and then, if they have a specific question, ask it when we're done. Though Shez is sometimes loathe to talk to the press, he certainly didn't refuse to do anything at Charlton and the fact that their set up is too big for League One was the main problem. Most people just stick us on the side of the pitch and all works fine!

phil. I missed John's Saturday evening's interview on DeeDah so, as per usual, I went to their website on sunday for a listen. It wasn't there (and still isn't). I naturally assumed that he had refused to do it after reading the headlines.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

Well Allott is 1 and 3,debateble whether he is creative and did you see his shooting at Charlton.....

Not going into debate Keith. We have different opinions regarding our present central pairing.

We have what we have for midfield. I, as much as you, would like to see better and it should be every managers ambition to improve every position in the squad if he is to develop a better team.

Previously Niven & Allott kept Clingan out of the side for a while under MacF - not Allotts fault by the way - and clearly JS considers him one of the best he's got at present whilst Randall only impresses for 3 minutes at a time (let's hope there is more to come) Mattis & Niven are injured and Clay needs further development.

In the near future I would love to think Clay and Randall could prove to be good enough just like I would like to see Dawakra & Bowery force their way through but whilst we remain in a precarious position I can't see this happening.

Hey, having looked at Tina's pictures from Charlton, had you won the raffle on the Official Bus, you'd have got a seat in the Directors' box!

That's the difference between Official & The Bridge! :-P

If you can't see which qualities Allott brings to the team, you don't know football.

Any idea when the hearing is, indeed will there even be a hearing or do they just hand out the punishment with no chance to defend yourself? Would not like to be on that panel, go get ‘em Sheridan, hope they don‘t blush easily!
