Move on and get behind our new player
I for one wish Scott all the best
The thread invited debate on the relative merits.
Griff is the better and more complete player.
Others have a different view.

Even if they were equal in every department, it would be daft to spend £150k on fees when the other guy is free.
That £150k could well be the wages for Mendy to be here for a season.
What would you prefer RPL? Mendy for a year or give the money to Barry Fry?

Why do you always assume its one or the other?
Would you trust CFC if they asked you to play your heart out for a season with a view to signing - including coming back from a hernia in Giffs case? Grounds/Clarke/Johnson ... take note!

because we do not have an infinate, bottomless pit of cash and have to make best use of the money.
You talk as if the amount of money available overall does not matter. I find it astonishing that your an accountant yet cant seem to grasp this very simple concept of maximising available finances.
So which would you prefer? Mendy and Smith or Griff and Barry Frys bank balance?

Interestingly, that same manager does not think he is a top league 1 full back anymore.
Bearing in mind that Peterborough are now in the Championship not League 1!

back in the land of assumption again. did we ever guarantee griffiths we'd sign him at the end of the season? or did we fancy it until boro put an unrealistic price tag on him? (a price no-one is willing to meet so is the price above your barometer of market value?)
as for the hernia lets be realistic it was a hernia, loads of players have them & play again (probably 100%

Once again picking a player who Oxford paid money for and don't play him until the last 11 minutes of a match, FCS get over it he's not (And never was) ours.

Yes, just like Grounds/Clarke/Johnson. Tell me how JS can build a squad if CFC don't retain the quality players that he evetually attracks?

Significantly.
Plus, Shezza liked Smalley as a right-winger, so Town probably wouldn't have got Mendy.
