And Griffiths is better. Keep an eye on Crawley.

That same Griffiths who made two massive mistakes against Crewe, and got beat in the air numerous times etc...

Have a read of Crawleys thread about him after there first game and second one....

I slated him for his first half performance against Crewe at the time and got some stick from folk sat around me trying to stick the blame on Breckin and the same happened on here. Griffiths was crap in that first half that day and was at fault for two of the goals.

Whilst he was part of the side that won the title last season i never thought signing Griff long term was a great option. He was steady but by no means this wonder left back that many proclaimed he was. Attacking wise his final ball often wasnt that great and defensively he had his problems as well. Free signing then maybe but by no means worth shelling the £150k or whatever Fry wanted. I've only seen Smith a couple of times but on those viewings he looks a better footballer and more of an athlete and the better of the two.

Let there be light!! :D

Defensive, organisation, reading of the game, passing, getting forward, engine, team player ... etc etc. Thats why he cost £150k .... and ....

And the club that payed £150k for him want to get shut...add to that only ever played his football at the bottom rung, and as once again been loaned out to a basement club, whereas Mr Smith I believe was wanted by Preston as well as us, along with the Yeovil boss satting he was the one player he wished he could retain

Griffs was a good player and did very well for us but we now have smith and he is also shaping up to be a good player foe us if not superb. Smith is our player and griff is not and never was. Let's leave itcat that and forget Griffs. Thanks for the effort Griffs and good luck where ever you end up. As for smith keep it up lad and keep improving you are a great asset to this club

Smithy was close but I'd have given MOTM to Ford.

I hope Griff plays the season at Crawley noting that some on here make him responsible for Crawley's defeats. Griff is a cracking chap and player and will do a great job for Crawley - you know the one's that can splash the cash when they ned to.

Some people on here don't deserve quality players to come on loan. As soon as CFC fails to sign them history gets re-written. Truely pathetic.

He cost £150k for one reason, the manager at Posh thought he was worth the money.

Interestingly, that same manager does not think he is a top league 1 full back anymore.
A new hope.

You pick out 1 performance. That about says it all. Those of us who know a player when we see one reflect on the majority of truly excellent performance put in by Griff including the big one on the last day.

**shakes head**

We didnt need to splash the cash - we got a full back who is as good player, if not a better player and cost £0 in transfer fees? Why is that so difficult for you to comprehend?
A new hope.

You will be shaking your head - Griff has a bright career ahead of him.

He may well have a bright career, but he isnt `better` than Smith, and would have cost more money - so the Value isnt there compared to our current full back....unless you dont rate Smith at all.
A new hope.

Whatever you say.

Griff was and is a class act. I won't be re-writing history unlike you and the others.

Grounds, Johnson and Clarke would do well to notice how fickle some of the fans are.

certainly hope he has, because he was good for us last season.
i very much doubt his bright career will be with us so can you please let it go. smith's a cracking full back (even you seem to be warming to him).

Griff was a great player and a nice lad rrpl , however we have a top league 1 left back currently at the club.

Move on and get behind our new player

I for one wish Scott all the best
