Tommy Lee is a great call.

Bruno

Dave Waller (what we wouldn't give for his class at the moment)!
Bomber Williams

I love Bruno to bits but he was far from consistent in front of goal, my memory may be clouded a bit but the videos of him against Sheff Utd (2-1 and 3-1) in the 80s weren't how I remember him week in week out. I recall one season in particular away at Aldershot and Colchester he was dire, he had loads of chances that went all over the place like a madwomans sh*t (except the back of the net). I never rated him in aerial battles either, 6'4" and players of 5'8" were out jumping him.

Waller when he had the service was very reliable, I don't recall Tony Brien having many poor games.

p.s I thought Marcus Ebdon was always very steady.

TB? Your'e right - up to the point we re-signed Dave Caldwell! Ebdon would probably swing it for me. You got a fair day's work out of him; never went missing in games.

im a bit sceptical about your opinion stuart, was it not you who said mooney was a decent player on the podcast for orient, its strange how fans differ i thought he was hopeless,it just shows we love the game but we all see it different.

Does that mean you are dissing Stuarts opinion of the great Marcus ebdon? Ebdon was awesome.
Sean dyche played right back wing back right mid and centre mid and back and always put a shift in.
Paul holland was just a great footballer, pretty sure he did play centre half for us, sadly we got him not too long before his knees exploded otherwise he would have ruled midfield for years I think he played up front a few times for Mansfield. He would probably get my vote.
And Bruno was versatile, don't we remember him playing in goal at Rotherham when golders got sent off?

Do you know something i think marcus ebdon was a great player but if memory serves i thought he used to drift in and out of periods of the game,i wouldnt stake my life on it as a lot of those years i missed a fair chunk due to playing saturdays.
Sean Dyche would for me be a great town player am i right in thinking he wasnt originally a centre half?As for the the most consistent,i cant remember danny wilson ever having a bad game and the same goes for blathers,id say it is a toss up between the latter

Colin Tartt

Model professional

Right Back

Midfield ..... Terrifying in a tackle and scorer of goals too

Sure he would play "in the hole " if he was about today

Remember watching him for Vale as a youngster , remember thinking he would make a Top player

No, not as I recall. I'll have a listen. It might have sounded like I agreed with Phil's more positive opinion of him but an amount of hmming and hurring goes on as we try to get a word in whenever Mr. T. pauses to breathe! I think I leant more towards your point of view, after seeing him.

She sounds like a Tartt.

Nigel Hart was the most consistent player I've seen in a Town shirt.

I started watching Town in 1989 and Lee Rogers honestly never impressed me until around the time of the 95 promotion side, at which time he became really effective and topped off a great season with a great trademark Cruyff turn at Wembley.
These go to eleven.

Nigel Hart was the most consistently poor footballer I have ever seen play professionally. His ability to slice clearances into the stand and step over the ball, completely missing it, when trying to control, was absolutely unerring.

Moss was consistently slow- looked like he was in a perpetual slow-mo replay whilst the game carried on around him at normal speed.
These go to eleven.

Ebdon was Mr Consistency for me easily - still have his red Town away shirt that I sponsored. He was a gentleman too, always happy to have a chat.

I was thinking along the same lines but Alan Boxall would take that accolade away from Nigel Hart
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Mr.Drew Talbot?????

Can play most positions and always consistant with every performance.....

TOP TOP player to grace the CFC

In recent seasons yes.

Overall, you would struggle to beat hewitt and moss
A new hope.

Hewitt was a consistent 6 out of 10, yes. Moss was dire (see above), but not dire with enough consistency.
These go to eleven.
