He'll give us a presence up front but at 35 and not the most prolific record will we need another striker to partner him?

Just been informed this rumour is 100% true.

What's also rumoured is that Town are financing the deal by selling the rights for the first bust-up between JS and Clarke to Sky Ringside, whilst seats nearest the dugout have doubled in price due to demand from fight fans.

Low risk option for us. Swindon may well be continuing to pay part of his wages as they've effectively ended his career there and weakened their bargaining position.

He's upset one angry manager, he'd have to be really stupid to do the same with JS.

I see him with Boden for now allowing Westcarr to go wide.

Let's just take a step backwards, though - the last three months have clearly demonstrated that the period between a player entering into negotiations at the b2net and actually signing for Town is frought with difficulties.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

With Mendy dropped? Sheridon at last has options, Boden has the chance of a lifetime, I'm sure Swindon will be paying some wages, Norm suggested we couldnt afford him on a recent interview.

His attitude? Well looking at the performance of Di Canio & Co against the Millers, I'm not surprised that someone took exception to their antics.

Absolutely. This though is slightly different as we're dealing with a player with no future at his club possibly going up a division. Negotiations should be minimal as far as CFC are concerned.

His attitude may stink but at least he will make Morgan look like Harry Potter (ref recent antics)

Just the aggressive tonic we need up front; some real bite to him.

BH in one corner CW in the other and a bemused player and his agent in the middle.

He's a Sheridan old boy, he'll sign.

He is the Davies replacement we needed; arguably, we now have a stronger forward line than we had last season; now i'm happy.

Mendy, Morgan, Clarke, Westcarr; that, on paper, should cause any defence problems.

.................Lee.................

Talbot.....Holden.....Grounds....Smith

Westcarr.....Mattis..Johnson....Morgan

...........Mendy......Clarke..........

I'll take that line up most days of the week.

Calm down guys, we've been here before, haven't we? Let's not count our chickens yet then demand an explanation if he doesn't sign.

That said, as soon as he enters the b2net, we should lock the doors, drop the shutters and not let him out until he's signed.

He's a Swindon player and money I'm told is still the issue in joining us. I find it very hard to understand why they would not be happy to be receiving some money towards his wages cost as there cannot be many suitors for Leon's services.
God I hate this league.

They need someone to sell the club other than AW or BH, both are useless PR........

Watch him sign for Notts or Wedmesday or even the Blades...just be our luck lol

Yes but the last eighteen months or so have revealed that players who have played under Sheridan before, don't have a problem in doing so again
