Thanks but I like the walk down from Hasland via the canal towpath - it passes the KFC.

Having just seen that it's £10 to get in, I'll not be bothering!

Dave - Am I understanding this - the club lays on a Q&A session for their customers and charges THEIR customers to get in. At this rate our Board will soon be able to limbo under a snakes belly

If they are charging supporters to get in then they need to start giving some straight answers to them. I can't help feeling that a lot of the fans will go to ask about the striker situation and they will just get the 'we tried but they wanted to go elsewhere' reply with no detail as to why there wernt other targets or why players didnt want to come here etc etc.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

To be fair to the club (on this occasion) the event is being organised by the Supporters Club and not the Club itself. Therefore I assume they will have to cover the cost of hiring the room etc. Still £10 for this kind of event is a bit steep.

Well i was looking forward to attending and posing the questions those taunting others speak of - but for a tenner!?

Not gonna happen.

At a time like this the Club should be bending over backwards to keep fans on their side, but this just smacks of the Supporters Club/Norton Lea farce back in '99.
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

Utterly reproachful............wtf is going on at that place. Even if it is being set up by the supporters club, the football club should wave the bleedin fee! Talk about alienation!

What time you walking down the towpath ? I will be the one holding the blunt instrument :)

On the subject of beer I was talking to a Brighton fan on holiday and he said that for every home match they bring in the most popular local beer from the area of the team they are playing to be served in the away concourse, they also change the seat colours for the relevant team. A very nice touch I thought.

Just to put the £10 fee into context, last night 7 of us enjoyed access into Owlerton, racecard, £3 worth of bets & a SUPERB 3 course meal for £14 per head!

They don't change the seat colours, but use coloured lighting to shade the concourse walls in the away end. You were told right about the beer though
