... in a million years. Just like Morgan he has none of the basics. Looking across the line. Running straight instead of bending his runs. Result - offside more often than not. Didn't look that pacey either. Lets get him on the wing.

Me too. I got shot down for beginning to understand what Notts County fans had said about him as they don't know anything about football.

If Shez thinks that he is the replacement for Davies then god help us. Looks like a panic signing to me, we've paid a transfer fee to play a winger upfront. We might as well have left Morgan there. Or kept playing Boden, or Bowery.

 13 goals from 49 says he can score.Smalley had a better record than that last season playing some games as striker and some on the wing.Whether Shezza is using him just as an emergency striker remains to be seen. Will all depend on the manager success in the loan market.
Many a good tune

I think that is very harsh.

for God's sake the guy has just signed!

Give him a fair chance. You are always so negative.

God I am glad I do not sit near you at the ground.

I'm somebody that knows what the attributes of a striker are. Westcarr doesn't possess them. That won't change. Otherwise I'm an individual that sticks, for the most part to respectful discussion on football.

I edited out the personal name calling and I am sorry.

But come on, can't you give the lad a chance?

Many sporting greats had not brilliant starts or patches in their careers. Nobody expects Westcarr to be a great player, he is just a player in the 3rd tier of the English league. He isn't Rooney or Raul.

He can only improve with the team.

Apparently Allen has been critised for selling striker Westcarr by some County fans!

He's not a striker on todays evidence.

Whether sheridan is trying to put square pegs in round holes is a question now worthy of proper thought,

Westcarr looks a decent winger/forward with a fierce shor but not a strikwe by any stretch. A striker would instinctively react to situations and watch his line. Boden did this.

Boden is a plus for me. A good lad. Very worried though he is our only fit genuine goalscoring striker. Not good.

Do some know other players playing in non striker roles are also allowed to score- it's not netball. Ford had two golden opportunites in the first half- unfortnately he couldn't convert- and I am afraid that's how its going his season.

Apologies for the late reply - both and many. Hangover this morning. CFC still a worry - 2 all the bells and whistles strikers or we've had it.
