What would happen if we did expand now, then went on a bad run, and all these glory hunters and band-wagoners went back to their armchairs? We would be left with 2 corners that never got used at a cost of £2 million, and a 15'000 seat stadium with 4000 in it.

Don't think it's 15k with the corners, always thought the capacity was 12.5k - but I could be wrong.

So if we we're to expand in the future surely it would be more cost effective per number of seats to stick another tier somewhere.

Its all a moot point anyway...............

I agree you know how fickle some supporters are it only takes a few poor performances before the boos start take the morecombe match a few games like that it will be down to 4000 in no time

I doubt he could justify spending £100,000 on a reg plate or the same on a Brabus Merc

.... me .... but BH did in his Spire Player interview when he said he is happy with a 10,000 capacity. In other words, for the big games, he's happy with 7,800 for Town Fans (if they give the North End to the Owls ... etc). I accept there's nowt that can be done for next season but I really don't see the logic in planning to turn new supporters away. As the saying goes "you only get one chance to make a first impression". The first impression should not be a "you should have bought a season ticket" sign or a "sold out" sign or you only welcome at the C games ... etc.

I really hope CFC are dealing with the technical drawings and planning permissions so that we can move quickly once the true size of the fan base becomes clear.

NB: Down at the club yesterday I had a chat with a nice bloke that was just going to meet JS - his sports car has plate MR 1

was this ever a true statement?.....whatever its something to be smug about

Why is everyone so obsessed about expanding the stadium. We were top of the league for most of last season and still only managed to fill in a handful of times. If we struggle to fill it then, whats going to happen this season when we finish mid table?

IF we were filling it every week, then i'd understand expanding but expanding now is pointless and we may has well just burn the money.

I hope for your sake (and his) that this 'kid' plays like some believe he can, and he's matured a little since his spell at RUFC.
