Looks like he's on his way to the b2net, one of arsenal'a young guns :)

It is definitely Randall - Adam hulme has tweeted that he's just editing the interview.

To be fair I'm not one of the ones who was totally against him coming here, as some have seemed to be whenever RPL has mentioned him, although he didn't really tear up any trees at Rothrum last season.
So the jury's out I suppose.

Remember Dean Holden didn't 'pull up any trees at Rothrum' either and look what a find he turned out to be ;)

Welcome to Chesterfield Mark!

is it possible that we have done a Yoevil. Maybe Sheridan has seen that many "I love you Mark Randall threads" he had to sign him.? Just a thought. RPL head town scout?

unexpected signing for me, didnt expect to see him playing league 1 football. i hope he's up to the challenge of playing for chesterfield, im not sure how well he did at rotherham but i've heard from a lot of people he's another good player. hope he does well. just bring a striker or two in and i think we can do very well next season.

Totally agree. Mr Wenger must have seen something there, as he has spent quite some time at Arsenal. Myself though, I'll wait to see how he performs in a Spireite Blue shirt, until I pass judgement.

Even so......Welcome aboard 'The Good Ship Spireite' my friend.

He's really not. Sheridan must see some potential though so I'm hoping he finds it, very happy it's only a one year deal.

Oh and if he plays up like he did at Rotherham I hope Sheridan physically beats him.

Good luck Mark Randall.

I made my initial judgement on Randall on the basis he didnt feature much in Wengers carling cup squads where he generally bloods the kids suggesting he wasnt high up the ladder at the Emirates then his loan deals appeared to be going backwards in terms of divisions he was playing in. He also didnt appear to act very professionally when he failed to turn up for a game with the Millers and on his other appearances didnt appear to do that well. All this on paper doesnt appear to inspire confidence but loan moves are funny things and can often fail to inspire a player who knows he is there for a couple of months and then will be off again to the plush surroundings of the Emirates.

Now he doesnt have that to fall back on and has a year at the "plush surroundings" of the b2net to prove he can hack it in the professional game or he could become another one of the hundreds that fall out of the game every year. Hopefully this, a bit of "gentle" encouragement from the likes of Sheridan and Wright along with being part of a first team squad playing competatively every week with the same folk may help him. Sheridan didnt get many signings wrong last season so we have to back him on this one!!

All that said.....i hope we dont sign Thornton!! ;)
