I think we will get him ,massive opportunity to go to work on his bike, bolster our midfield and help the environment :)

Don't forget we have 2 league 1 clubs on our door step.

I have it on good authority both ourselves and Scunthorpe have offered him terms, with Scunthorpe offering a better deal.

If we can match it I'm sure he'd like to follow in his Dad's footsteps.

Any "development" fee would be nominal as he was only at Rotherham for a couple of years, unlike Smalley who had been at Oldham since he was about 12.

Didn't we 'develop' him, -on our books till Sheffield Utd signed him at around 16 or so. I know, it means nothing.

If we were eligible for anything it would have been when he signed for Sheff U

I've heard Rotherham have to pay £50,000 for holding him back.

Scunthorpe end their interest after being informed he's heading for Motherwell, which appears to scupper the Millers hopes of a fee

Interesting if true. Didn't expect that. Perhaps his thoughts are that a year or two in the SPL will raise his stock for a return to the English game.

Accrington assistant manager saying 'If it goes to a tribunal I'd think we'd be looking at up to £750,000, certainly in excess of £500,000' for Jimmy Ryan, is he serious?!
