Does anyone know where the ground is from the train station? (and any pubs on the way if you're feeling generous).

A long miserable walk. Did it back last season. One pub up near-ish the ground and one close to the station. I'd estimate a mile and half of industrial estate between.

come out of the station turn left, then first right and head straight and the ground is just off Derby Road.

Most pubs around there are under the 'closed' section by the police.

You can try turning right out of the station to head towards the town centre if you wish, but be prepared to be met with police and carted off towards the ground if you wear colours or start chanting for some inane reason whilst drawing attention to yourself etc. (I'm not saying that would be you of course  )

I wouldn't bother unless you enjoy industrial estates or are too poor for a taxi. We called a 6 six seater from the Burton Bridge Inn last time and I think a quid a man got the driver more he asked for.

Well I don't mind walking... I'll see how we feel, we'll probably end up getting a taxi. Cheers :)

The ground is just over a mile straight up Derby road from the station.

There are loads of pubs on the way, loads... just not on the main road, you have to take some very short strolls off the main road to find them.

If you go on google maps and search 'Burton Pubs' it highlights them, loads to choose from.

A lot going on the train, when I bought my wayfarers yesterday woman in Tourist place said "you going to Burton", she said they had sold loads of wayfarers this week and last.

A few I know are planning on having a beer during the derby train change.

Get them tomorrow mate, from the Tourist Information centre, £8.90 covers all buses around Derbyshire and trains in Derbyshire and extending to Burton if the journey starts in Derbyshire.

Got mine in advance so I can save on bus fare into Chesterfield from Boza on leg 1 of the journey :)

What would the Burton Old Bill do if say Villa or Brum came or .... Heavan forbid the likes of Millwall

Would they form a human circle starting at Stretton through to Branston

2,000 Town Fans but yes, they seem to be over reacting.

Maybe they should of made it all Ticket.

Has anyone got an idea of a suitable pub for the Towns.....

Most Pubs are following the advice to close until 6pm BUT, they say the Police reclassified the Game as a Category ONE, game after the Home game with Burton. They are expecting trouble and means they legally take control of the Towns Pubs.

They have also passed on information from the Chesterfield Pub Watch Scheme for potential problem people.

It beggars belief that if they are expecting trouble, Why they haven't made it ALL TICKET

Friend in Burtons SAYS

is category one the worst?
