Whilst attending todays reserve match against Donny with Sir Moon of Dog I happened to notice that One Simon Whaley Who I presume was a trialist being substituted by Donny.
Didn't notice him during play so he can't have been pulling up many trees.
As for the game Chesterfield fielded a strong 11 including Morris, Page, Breckin, Lowery,Boden and Bowery the latter two either fluffing or in Boden's case wanting too much time missed some great openings for town who dominated most of the game but went behind to a Donny side including Billy Sharp, due to an error from goalkeeper Redmond. On the plus side Dean Smalley impressed me with his pace and aerial ability he looked very good indeed. Back to the studio.

Heard an interview with donny manager a while back about it. Mainly just training with them to continue his rehab from the knee injury as he's being doing lots of non football stuff so far. He said there may be a contract somewhere down the line but it was mainly to get Whaley back in a football environment.

I thought I heard a couple of weeks ago that Whaley had signed a short term contract with them?

then we would probably have lost two nil.
its time he was given a full 90 though. if jack is to be rested then id start him up front with davies though, or give drew a break. it looked on tuesday that he was in need of one
