What a set of moaners/whingers you lot on here are, under the guise of we want the best for the club there is a continual stream of abuse against individual players. If someone did this to you at work you would soon be up in arms.

Last nights game, in the first half we could have been three goals clear, both lester and davies missed opportunities that most weeks they normally score. ok second half wasnt good.

We are second in the league, both port vale and bury have had poor result sequences and they have recovered. It is as though you want them to fail to justify some unreal sense of importance.

Ive watched for over 50 years thru many ups and downs, will keep going and encouraging the team. No opposition will role over and as in life the team will have to work very hard to succeed every game. Sometimes it will work sometimes it wont, all successful clubs go thru bad spells during the season, we will be no different.

It's almost like a few fans think they are bigger than the club. An attitude of "I'm gonna have my say, whether you like it or not and to hell with the consequences. I want to be most right".

I also agree that the behaviour suggests a self-loathing and a desire to fail.

"Top of the league and I'm having a prawn sandwich", should be the chant from some fans recently. Not the Kop, I might add, although they were quiet last night.

What about something positive like "attack, attack, attack, attack, attack"? I honestly believe the fans against Crewe would have secured us the win last night.

Dunno if you're on a wind-up or not, but PLEASE don't start the 'we should all be good little boys and girls and only clap, cheer and sing' nonsense again. It seems that every time there're (perfectly legitimate) grumbles following a sub-standard showing the words "moaners" and "whingers" are trotted out.

I've heard or read no "continual stream of abuse" at either individual players or the team as a whole, infact though subdued by the performance the crowd seemed relatively supportive last evening. As for this forum, of course folk are frustrated and irritated by what was an undeniably poor second half - but that's only because the bar has been set so high, something that most contributors have acknowledged!

Frankly, it looks like the only people getting overly hot under the collar are those doing so at valid observations.

sorry if it offends but the players got what they deserved last night and if they think they can get away with it and stay at the top of the table they cant. We lost to a ordinary side in the first half Oxford couldnt even put two passes together. I thought the supporters stayed with them last night until it was evident they were getting outplayed in several areas. Not a crisis by any means but warning bells should be ringing

Atmosphere was shocking last night from start to finish, even when we were winning. Very flat. Worst level of support we have had at the b2net

I think people, as they're entitled to if they choose, sat back and expected to roll em over.

I agree the atmosphere was poor, eve before the game some fans seemed a bit edgey expecting a tough game ahead.

cant agree mate this is an opinionated message board,no one is right no one is wrong and if they are there is nothing they can do about it,the performance the other night was poor full stop and that was as a collective, the players know that if they put their hands on hearts they underperformed and let themselves down against a very poor side (my opinion that is),they have the quality to walk all over teams like that and failed to capitalise,it dosent mean that we dont support them to the hilt as i still believe we will win this league
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

I tried to get things going in the east stand numerous times. I don't know whether it was the cold or something else, but things were strangly quiet. Even when we scored there was a polite standing ovation for aprox 5secs then it was like a morg. Walton Spireite a few of his mates, myself and my mate tried to get it going again but it was a no goer. Night games are renounded for that 'special' atmosphere. It was sadly lacking on tuesday night.
Heard 'Molly Malone' which was great!
One thing can we have a redition of 'Sailing' at a game sometime soon (with colours flying). It can create such a great buzz about the place!
