My only dissapointment is the effect a dismal run upto xmas would have on the attendances.

Lowery and Arron when they come back will be way off the mark as far as match fitness is concerned. Robertson is at the best a stop gap player. Who says Griffiths is coming back? Is it official or just a rumour?

Evenin fish, I don't think they will be far off the mark when returning, Robbo didn't look out of place tonight even though there no love betwween you. Griffiths is down to wshfull thinking nothing more but I'd bet on Gregor keeping a regular spot in the team from now on.

I'd like to think he will be playing left back based on last nights left back

Thought Gregor did well last night and was MOTM for me played some excellent passes full width of the pitch to Talbot on several occasions in the first half.
Actually felt sorry for Lomax last night clearly very one footed and no more than a makeshift player at LB and although didn't do much wrong defensively seemed incapable of making a pass to Morris and constantly played inside despite the better option. Consequently got a load of stick from some in the East Stand.
Would like to see Gregor at LB on Saturday and if we play Lomax put him in his preffered position of RB as thought Hunt was guilty of hiding too much last night, maybe starting to turn his mind to what happens to him at the end of his loan spell which happens to a lot of loanees.

ATM our strongest side might well be :
Lee
Hunt Ford Mattis Robbo/Morris
Talbot Allott Whittaker Morgan (when back)
Davies Lester
Thoughts?

Hunt is having a nightmare of a spell

Hunt needs a bit of a rocket though Dave, he needs to get his head back to concentrating on playing just didn't look interested to me last night and if he continues in this vein for much longer I would give Lomax a run in his natural position, if for no other reason to see what he can do and to knock some complacency off Hunt.
Think Gregor should be LB on Saturday especially if Morgan is not fit and Morris plays LS midfield as the way he plays he is wanting the LB to overlap which Lomax will not do from LB.

I think Lomax would be more effective at right back, time and time again last night he played it inside because of a reluctance to play it with his left out to Morris, lets see what he can do on his favoured side.

I'm relieved about this as I was beginning to think it was just me who had reservations about JH. He is a typical 'modern full back' - quick, looks good going forward, can't defend for toffee. First half against Burton he was dreadful - if, for example, Gregor had put in a performance like that everyone would have destroyed him for it.
I appreciate Jack is still young and inexperienced - chances are he will improve the defensive part of his game, but as he is a loan player we probably won't see the benefit of that anyway.
When we were 'flying' at home it suited him as his shortcomings were less apparent.
