Well Bonny you can rant all you like, wise after the event an all that, Surely the Burton game showed how to beat us - Oxford 4th from the bottom came with everyone behind the ball, in our faces when ever we were in possession and doubled up on us on the flanks.
Futcher negating everything in the air. We score and EXPECT the rest fall in place. They have to be a little more adventurous and then our lack of pace is woefully exposed. I totally agree about Ford he looked nervous as hell without Matiss.

MOM again Allott.

I cant work out whether your taking the mick or not?? Allot did nothing yesterday. That free kick with 10 seconds too go really cheesed me off. Tommys on his way up for one last punt into the box and he plays it sideways. Him and Whittaker allowed Oxfords midfield far too much time on the ball. Neither of them wanted to do any of the dirty work. I never appreciated the work Niven puts in as much as I did last night. Allot only looks good when hes doing what he does best and thats spraying 30 yard passes in the two directions in his repertoire.

<_< Allott worked his socks off from the start unlike most of the others. The tactic of rolling the ball out from the keeper to the back four didn't help our cause as they soon sussed it out and closed us down quickly.Allott was picking the ball up deep and spent a lot of his game helping out at the back throughout the secondhalf.MOTM for me by a country mile.

That is just what i said at the game last night, they dealt with everything we threw at there defence and Morris was in the right place for his goal and how Ford missed near the end i don't know, did we create anything more than that,i am struggling to find anything else....

Jack Lester diving header first half, wide
Jack Lester sitter from 10 yards, left footed, wide.
Jack Lester volley from a Morris cross, left footed, 10 yards out, wide.
Craig Davies header from about 8 yards, wide.
Craig Davies curler from left corner of area, over bar.
Ian Morris left footed from just inside area, keeper save at near post.
Jack Lester hesitating too long before shooting in 2nd half, half-chance.
Header from corner, keeper parried away. Late on in 2nd half.
And then there's Ford's open net miss which you mentioned.

So no Dema, we created nothing all game.

Fact of the matter is we had enough chances in the first half to be 3 goals up but poor decision making and poor finishing let us down. The rest is history.

 And most of those chances were in the firsthalf while Oxford offered nothing. We fell apart in the second and didn't step up a gear till we went 2-1 down.

Allot worked his socks off? The closing down was pathetic from both of them. Oxford totally bossed that midfield in the second half. Allot keeps hold of the ball well with simple passes but other than that I struggle to see what he actually does.
