He must have buckled down big time, as Ollie wasnt impressed in the QPR days together.

Well done Mr Evatt

Matt Malak has been playing for Retford United in their pre season games. I doubt very much if he has signed a contract for them as last I heard was that they are in financial meltdown. They were banned from signing any players or even playing any games by the FA as they hadn't paid last years players. This now seems to have been resolved but, as I understand it they are only signing players on non contract terms as they don't have a proper playing budget this season. If they stay up this season it will be a miracle. Seems an odd club to move to, although they are at a good level (same league as Matlock).

Dom Green is still on the transfer list at Peterborough - Rushden are reported as having bid £100k for him this week.

yesterdays NLP reports he has signed a one month loan at Rushden. He didn't play on saturday but is expected to make his debut on tuesday. Sounds like it was part of the deal when the R&D winger went the other way.

Is this the same Dom Greenthat turned his nose up at a move to league 2?

This is a loan, the other was a transfer offer - big difference.
God I hate this league.

Two minutes or so as a sub, but he did play a bit for the reserves, but no reserves after January (although I can only see two reserve games after January.) I recall seeing his name pop up at C St P again before the end of last season.

At Sheffield FC last season, had a reasonable game, it was only later on the recommendation of Ted Buxton (Terry Venables sidesick) did we take him on, clearly never came up to scratch whilst here

I saw him in a reserve game and he didn't do much at all, looked like he was struggling to get used to professional football.

I don't imagine he cost us much, so he was worth a punt. We all want to "find them" like Peterborough, but we never hear of how many they go through to find the occasional good one.

That's just it isn't it, same with Dagenham too.

Slight difference between signing someone from Alfreton one level below the conference, and Chalfont St Peter though, from the Spartan South Midlands League, Premier Division.
