it could just be the first batch they had in that are like this, as mine now is perfect <_<

also, i like the material on this years, alot better then lasts

So its the FANS fault for pushing the club to rush the shirts in before proper QA checks were done........

Joking aside, maybe this is the reason for the delay with the away shirt.

If so, its certainly a justified delay if it avoids returns.

Cannot see the material in general use without full testing especially when LAUNCHING the respect brand name along with all the brand printing etc. The problem will be with folks not being used to washing them.
God I hate this league.

No it's not, we had the exact same problem about 3 years ago with a faulty batch (like now from the initial stock)

The reason for this could be the fact that the transfers are rubbing on other things placed in the wash ie. Jeans. When washed mine with shirts alone came out fine, it was mixing with jeans and things it can rub on where the problems come, changed it the other week and had no trouble since.

Washing it with other garments is not the problem.

A couple of tips:-

Wash at a temperature of more than 40oC.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not place the shirt on a radiator.

Iron the garment inside out on a cool setting ideally placing a tea towel or handkerchief between the iron and back of the print area.

Thanks for the positive replies, I took the shirt back today, they swapped it no problem and told me there has been an issue with the first batch of shirts sold. They are all being re pressed in the shop with some sort of heat press and was actually doing some shorts when I walked in.

You can visibly see the difference between the 2 shirts, the VK on the re pressed shirt is actually pressed into the fabric, the old one looks more like it was stuck on.

I have worn my shirt a four or five times down the gym and with subsequent washing it has been fine. Fingers crossed it survives tomorrow's wash!
