Having washed my new replica shirt only 3 times (on 30 degrees, ironed inside out and on low heat) I am very disappointed to find all the transfers are starting to peel off. I have been buying football shirts for over 15 years and never experienced this before. Respect? I dont think so!

Has anyone else had problems with the current shirt?

My mate had to take his back as most of the VK came off but my shirt is ok. The club say that they had a faulty batch but if you take it back you shouldn't have any more problems with the new one.

washed mine twice and seems ok will see what it does next time

The reason for this could be the fact that the transfers are rubbing on other things placed in the wash ie. Jeans. When washed mine with shirts alone came out fine, it was mixing with jeans and things it can rub on where the problems come, changed it the other week and had no trouble since.

take it back its not classed as merchantable quality

My mate had a problem with his and he just took it back and got a new one and now its OK. Our brand 'Respect' offers more merchandise than Bukta did and most of it good quality stuff which I most have brought 2 tops, the home shirt and other bits and bobs.

my guess is they used the wrong transfer paper or not pressed them at the right temperature so no fault of the people washing them but my lotto shirt did this and ended up getting through 5 shirts but the club didnt have any issues swapping them.

As i rule, I always wash most of my clothes (not just football shirts) inside out.

This stops any stickers/logo/designer labels (ahem) peeling, rubbing off etc and also stops the bobbling effect cotton can get after numerous washes.

it could just be the first batch they had in that are like this, as mine now is perfect

also, i like the material on this years, alot better then lasts
