Agree with you, but when it did happen it should have been saved. Dont you think so?

Yes , have to agree, just thought Brecks had a woeful first half, really showing up his lack of pace and creativity.

Allot has had poor games first 2 games of the season, but i think this is due to playing in a 4-4-2 against a 4-5-1 in both games.

I didn't say that at all,it could have gone anywhere it ended up in the net,yet again Lee was left exposed, funny how he was MOTM on saturday and then most are on his back because we lose tonight......we did not lose because of Tommy Lee....

Why is it everyone else have to carry the can for Tommy's cock ups?

He did do really well with his catching on Saturday, that was Saturday though!

It's early days yet. Allot didn't look confident to even pass to the nearest man after consistently losing the ball but he will come good I'm sure

Tommy? Well, it's a shame. Let's not get on his back too much though

Allott found himself with players on him as soon as he received the ball tonight, did not have that 'time on the ball' that he usually enjoys.
God I hate this league.

Spot on. I've watched the replay again and although he might have done better, there's no evidence to allege that when the defence opened up in front of him he "threw the ball in the net" as some idiot has suggested here. Get to Specsavers!

exactly right but the keeper lets it in so it must be his fault eh i dont think so

Did you used to be a sunday league keeper Alho? Are you suffering from some kind of post-traumatic keeper syndrome where everyone blamed you for every goal you let in?! You ought to see your doc about it and, while you're there, maybe ask if he can help Dema, who seems to find the idea of digging up his grandparents a bit of a wheeze!

One thing with sitting in the East Stand is the view. The time and space he had to get it out wide and his refusal to do so was really bad.

I did say I was impressed with him against Barnet

You on the other hand defend the indefensible.

I think you are funny though

It was poor goalkeeping for the 2nd, but most of all dreadful defending for both goals.

I think even Tommy knows he should have done better with the goal and i suspect he probably thought he was going across goal and wasnt set that well for the shot going that side. However i see no-one has mentioned the one on one save he made late on from Lita to keep it at 2-1 and us in the game, his good handling from crosses, good kicking etc....easy to pick the negatives out from a keeper as mistake invariably cost goals but i'd like to see a keeper playing in league two that doesnt make the odd cock up here and there over the course of a season.

Watched a bit of the game back on telly and Tyler was rattling on about how there was talk of bringing Crossley on for a possible penalty shoot out should the chance arise...god knows where he got that rubbish from!! Lee is as good on penalties as anyone i've seen in net for us.

Think he's up there with the most saves from the penalty spot. I'm reckoning its 6 or 7 now........

agreed!!

it wasn't tommy to blame for the defeat, it was sheridan, he got the tactics woefully wrong 1st half, every time they picked the ball up anywhere, our defence dropped rightback to our 18 yrd line, the midfield sat about 10 foot infront of them leaving them all the pitch and all the time and space in the world, so they just passed the ball round us.

he did correct his mistake in the 2nd half, we dropped talbot back into midfield and got in there faces denying them the space they enjoyed so much in the 1st half, and then enjoyed the better posession,

overall though the 3 experienced defenders on the pitch were totally made to look their age 1st half with boro running at them they could not cope.

He was superb against Barnet and then he goes and does something like that tonight. I think he's a weak link because he's so inconsistent. I just don't understand it, he should be the best in the league.

ok i also thought he should have done better , look at another way how many mistakes does he make as opposed to how many times he saves us hes more than fine best in div2

Well we've disagreed on other topics 'Azul' but not on this one. It's still early days but Allott has been consistently poor so far and his place should now be up for grabs. He repeatedly failed to use the wide men and when he did pass out to Hunt he consistently waited too long so that the opposition found it easy to intercept the ball. I was reminded of a comment on here from last season to the effect that 'Allott never fails to find a blue shirt'. Oh yes he does - frequently in recent games!
If nothing acts faster than anadin, why do we buy anadin?

All these Tommy lovers would rather talk about the Allot and Breckin mistakes rather than the subject of the thread.

Strange that?

Was it a false dawn against Barnet? I'm sure we'll have many other opportunities to discuss Tommy
