That number 18 floundering around on the ground in the net after the first Italian goal was unbelievable. Has he no masculine pride at all? Imagine if someone brushed his face in a bar in Rome. Don't think he'd be on the ground clutching his face and waving his legs around in fake agony.

Really glad to see the worst team of play-actors so far exit so early, though I'm glad that the tournament so far has not seen too many histrionics.
These go to eleven.

yeah, 1 or 2 did go down as if they'd just been shot by a firing squad, thought H webb did well trying to move them on, but should have played another minute.

We didn't deserve to go through. We weren't good enough. Players we wanted to start were either injured or just not up for it

I used to have respect for the Irish but they need to get over it, they failed to beat a very poor France team that were humiliated at the World Cup by Mexico and South Africa, yeah Henry cheated but he didn`t knock them out single handedly, Ireland wern`t even winning at the time. France have been the worst team in the whole tournament and Irelands faliure to beat them in the play-off has done nothing but exposed them as a 3rd rate footballing nation and terrible losers, they`ve certainly not been missed at this tournament and they weren`t complaining when they had dubious penalty decisions going their way in the qualifiers.
