He always struggles with a lack of pace but do we know how fast the new lad is? Built like a centre half and I can't imagine he's electric.
Whoever plays at right back will struggle unless Talbot plays wide right as he is the only one that regularly offers the full back cover. It's been the same all season

Gray's been part of a much improved defence over recent times but leaves many, including myself, unconvinced. On the other hand Whing arrives with an encouraging CV yet is still an unknown quantity. So, big game ahead, maybe even a season deciding fixture, and would you tinker with a winning side?
Decisions, decisions...
Gray has been unlucky in my view. Asked to play in a position he is clearly unsuited to his confidence seems to have suffered to the point where the things he did appear good at are now seem to be in decline. Defending on the flanks is a specialism and he too often gets caught out of position of gets exposed by a quality wide player. It seems strange that a player who seemed such a good passer of a football now seems to struggle to pind anything other than an opposition shirt.
I'm sure he'll be replaced though whether its as early as Tuesday depends on how much fitness the ginger whinger shows in training maybe.

This is no different up and down the leagues.
Even players like Neville, Cole, Johnson etc get caught out by quality wide players, relatively, at their level.
Since Gray and Goodall have been included in our back 4, we have hardly conceeded any goals, and coincidence or not only a brave man would change it...........

Must be the fruit tea I had with my lunch. Or it could be that I made the mistake of cleaning my keyboard this morning (with proper kit supplied by our office administrator)and ever since most of the keys have been sticking! I think in future I'll just let the keyboard stay a sit is.
