Just wondering whether they'll be any other Spireites going out in June? I'm going with a couple of lads from Matlock. Got tickets for the Slovenia match and the first knockout round (providing we get through of course!).

Anyone else?

I could have got tickets for all the England games but the crazy cost of flights and accommodation, plus the security fears put an end to my thoughts of going. It worked out around 16k per person if England made it to the final. Crazy.

It can mount up but Im going for 10 nights in SA with flight there, accommodation in Cape Town Port Elizabeth and Joburg + internal flight, car hire, tickets for 2 games - comes to 2 grand. Then there is spends but I've been saving since I got back from Germany. I spent a £1500 for a week there so I reckon it'll be around £3000 all in.

It's quite a few years since i visited PE watching the England cricket team, but i remember it was really cheap while we were there. I suspect Castle Lager will be rubbing their hands together at the prospect of thousands of thirsty England fans descending on the country though...

Have a good trip!

I spent 16 days in Cape Town last year, and it was the cheapest place for food an drink I hva e visited, was also top notch to. Will probably have been hiked up for the football though!

1 piece of advice, dont use a cash machine unless it has an armed policeman near it!!!

And the pound has lost a quarter of its value against the Rand in the last year making everything 25% more expensive. Stupid old pound. Still it shouldnt be too bad. Sadly Im only in CT for 2 days before we move onto Port Elizabeth for the Slovenia match

Could have got tickets for all the England games, through officail club, but just can't afford it this time. Had 5 weeks in Germany for last WC and that set me back nearly 4K! There's a few spireites i know going out there for the duration though - fair play to 'em.
