Great win today.
3 points without playing brilliantly. Cheltenham were rubbish but managed to hit the bar 3 times!!
Defence were under a lot of pressure at the end but coped really well.
MOM- no one really stood out, Lee made a couple of good saves, Page and Breckin were solid but Goodall probably shaded it- never put a foot wrong.

With the ball at feet we looked good so why keep hoofing it to Conlon? Madine looked sharp when he came on and won more headers than Conlon. Boden also did well when replacing Small. Whaley with the ball at his feet looked dangerous but didn't see a lot of it. I thought Small did Ok, again with the ball at his feet but will never win a header against 6 foot defenders! Where was Talbot?

Support was fantastic, looked quite a lot there although 3 town supporters were man-handled out of the ground in the first half- don't know what that was about.

Players looked well pleased at the final whistle and appreciated the support!

Well done lads, automatics it is!!

Thanks for the update mate, it's always good to hear from someone who went, not quite the same on the radio.

Talbot apparently has a virus, that's why he didn't play & the supporters were bundled out cos one was taking a photo on his mobile phone & his two mates stuck up for him when the stewards tried to make him leave. Appalling jobsworths

Well it sounds like the team put out could play the sort of footie that Sheridan is after. If we can keep this up, then onwards & upwards!!!
Don't worry what people think, they don't do it very often.
Aum Reshni Chaat.

|Bit of a local game for me too - Coventry about 45 miles away.

Niven my man of the match. What has he been doing on the bench???

The man handling was a ridiculous over-reaction to someone taking photographs. They didn't even get the right person.

Agree with all of that and I've been in a while too !! Shame on the way out of Cheltenham a few cars up from me in a queue, a Chesterfield fan got out of his car and kicked seven bells out of a bloke then got back in his car. When the bloke got up he got back out then continued to threaten him until the traffic started moving. So if the ginger haired idiot is reading this or anybody knows him thank him for tarnishing the reputation of not just Chesterfield fans but football fans in general. I didn't paticularly want to witness this type of thing but neither should my wife or 12 year old son. If you were being provoked then stay in your car next time .

He was in the car behind me and the the guy that got out the gold car was swearing at me because the woman couldnt get out the junction and the car behind me didnt let her out either.

Dont condone it but when your being imtimidated/threatened (and he got out the car first i might add on both occasions) and your being threatened. The guy driving the car was old so he could only have been defending him.

Yes it was wrong but the lad did what he thought was right at the time.
