We can all play our part and try and take an extra with us.

If I'm honest our attendances have been woeful and not really worthy of a promotion chasing team. What happened to when we used to take big away followings when we were on course for promotion? It's almost like no-one really believes yet that we are genuine contenders. County on Tuesday should see 2k plus but I'd be surprised if we took 1k at the minute. I know its expensive and I know due to my exile its a bit rich of me to say this but what do Chesterfield have to do to get people to believe and buy into the dream?

Or could it simply be a case of us having dedicated folk who aren't daft, are prepared to applaud what deserves applause, but won't stand for failure even when it's dressed up as success?
And, in answer to Town Fan's point, who've been kicked in the wobbly bits so many times over the years they've become ultra-cynical?

When did we last take 2k anywhere midweek?

I cant remember playing anyone this local midweek for a while. Lincoln maybe when we won 4 - 2, I know it wasn't 2k but it was a decent turn out and I bet we take less to County.
I don't care what anyone says 400 today is garbage and the home attendances have been shiyte also.

Think there was 1200 or so at Lincoln that night and there'll be similar or a few more at Notts.

Thank you for making my point. At the end of the day its a massive game while we are in a promotion spot and yet we cant improve on what we took when treading water under Richardson.

I'm just putting it into the correct context as you failed to.
If you think that the Lincoln game compares anything like the Notts game then you know nothing about context. I'd liken it to the Carlisle Tuesday night away game in 95 for importance and its much more local.

We took considerably more to Cheltenham only a couple of years ago when we were at the bottom of the league. Sheridan must wonder why he bothers.

Even though his team somehow beat an even more nonedescript, part-time outfit from the nether regions of football.
Thing is, though, the last time i looked this bloke's club were doing remarkably well by their standards and occupying a mid-table position: just what do their supporters really expect?
