Bradford fan on another forum reckons we could be in for Elder who is a striker from Shrewsbury. Apparently he was transfer listed after a poor performance in the cup against Staines.

Probably a load of old tosh but I thought I would pass the rumour on.

Did quite well for Brentford but hasnt pulled any trees up for Shrewsbury. Only 22 and would be described as a powerful forward.

I hope so, he's shocking! We slated Rico for spending money on Gritton, 'IF' we outlay money on Elder it would be as bad if not worse! He can't pass, control or hold up a football, hasn't got the knack of getting into goal scoring positions and when he does he usually fluffs um. All he's got is a nuisance factor and a hard worker.

He's on the transfer list so hardly a prized asset and the "source" reckons 30k would get him. We don't know for sure what Shrewsbury paid for him as the fee was undisclosed.

Elder is very physical - something we don't have.

Gritton is experienced at this level - could do a job for them.

A lot of moaning about him on Brentford website, blessing in disguise when he picked up the eye injury they say. If I was going for any Shrews player it would be HIBBERT.
