I don't know how good this guys info is but yesterday Kerry was told to go and find another club.

For me the big question is - is Lloyd the most obvious first one to be shown the door or is it down to the fact that we have plenty of cover in midfield and other players have a stronger hand by the length of contract they are sitting on.

I haven't seen much of Kerry this season, anyone update us.
God I hate this league.

from what i understand Sheridan has told Kerry that he can find a different club and put a non-league club on the table and Kerry refused to go because it will dint his career going down divisions and huge de-crease in wage payments, another player who's there to pick up his wages

A tad unfair James, we would all have that same approach if it was us. Our hands are tied with the squad and their rights, big changes all round come the new stadium.
God I hate this league.

I quite like Kerry, he gets stuck in like a little terrier, can pass, always gives 100% and knows where the net is. The only problem I have with him he's to lightweight against big physical opposition of league two; though having said all that I can see him earning a contract in this league with the smaller clubs, but he may have to earn this via the non leagues. Someone like our lowly neighbours would be a very good move for both parties, he clearly hasn't a future with us and needs to move on to improve on his own career.

Good luck Lloyd, you never gave anything less than your best for us and I sincerely hope it works out for you and you earn a career out of the game.

Would you want to go to Alfreton?
A new hope.

appears this was said at the start of the season. Lloyd in his credit wanted to try to battle for a place but Alfreton seem to have a problem with the wages

Dave.
I understand Kerry is one of a number of players that were told they're not part of the Manager's plans some time ago and a move would be in the best interests of all concerned. However the right move has yet to materialise for any of these players. Now whilst i can understand - if not necessarily agree with - those in the twilight of their career sitting tight and simply picking up their salaries evey month, i would've thought someone like Kerry might consider taking a backward step, so to speak, just to put himself in the shop window.

If we want rid of him we could sweeten the deal by throwning in Saltergate floodlights at the end of the season.

I guess getting the boots made a change from getting the 'boot'.

I supose it would be different if you could play football but no longer afford your mortgage.

Going on loan wouldn't affect his income.

Surely an unusual situation if correct. Normally in this sort of situation Alfreton would pay a portion of them and we would top them up to their normal level.

No wonder he said no.

I suspect we've made Lloyd an offer to pay up his existing deal and Alfreton have offered him terms, hence the shortfall.

That would explain his refusal. Grimly hanging onto his professional contract....
