At least once a week but I go go far and wide. Camping in the highlands, Wales anywhere I feel like really, many people do not realise whats on their doorstep. Over the many years I have found countless places well away from the general public to walk and watch in peace and seclusion. I have seen the true wonder of nature first hand and it never fails to leave me in awe. Theres something different every time you go out, all you need is patience. I once went to Rufford Park early one morning before the public as a whole arrived and I met a couple walking their dog. They asked me what i was doing, birdwatching I replied, don't know why none here they said. so I invited them to sit with me for 30 mins which they did and I pointed out to them 31 species all within 50 yards of us. They are now good friends of mine and like me avid nature lovers. like the advert says 'priceless'
Do you ever go up to Northumberland?
What a beautiful place it is, uncrowded, historic, and miles and miles of coastline with everything you could wish for, especially long sandy beaches.
Northumberland or the peak district? Tough one that!
