Those two have been the front runners for quite a while now, Sheridans name in particular being mentioned ages ago, and both of them would hardly constitute "surprise" amongst the fans, (BH`s words I believe regarding the appointment) and I cant help getting the nagging doubt out of my head that if it was any of those two, Sheridan in particular, he would have been appointed by now.
STILL!!!!!!!!going for the "fecking hell" appointment, even though I`ll probably be wrong and it will be one of the two mentioned.

Althought they would achieve it with different styles of football, both of these two should be more than capable of getting us promoted. If there is someone we can get in who is better than these two, then fair play to all involved it can only be good for us.

I'd trust the comments from a certain ex-players Butler on here who said not to look further than the current bookies favourites.

Thats says to me its JS or CC

I think he said that regarding bookies not usually being far wrong rather than having any "inside info", but occassionally Rafa Nadal doesn`t win the French open.

His words were, I quote:

"Don't expect Danny Wilson - stick with the names the bookies fancy! "

People read too much into Barrie's comments. I don't think he necessarily expresses himself well and (unintentionally) doesn't say what he means, and I think he would admit this, so I think perhaps it has been taken out of context.

Calderwood would be my choice and my guess as to who will be appointed too.

couldn't agree more, with the appointment and subsequent announcement seemingly taking so long maybe it's not as cut and dried as we think. A third name may still be in the running that will surprise us, aren't Port Vale taking as long as us lets not forget this is a very important decision so imo it taking as long as it is points to them wanting to make the right decision.

I see some posting Calderwood is my choice with the same for Sheridan but why, what are your reasons to make such an opinion. whoever is appointed is the right man for the job it is that simple

I think your reading too much into the delay, the fact the man won't be revealed until Monday is likely to be because he's away on holiday this week.

Its strange that neither JS or CC are now mentioned or attached to other vacant Managers jobs....I look forward to either or them becoming Town Manager especially with Dave Allen & his ambitions.

Will NEW shirt have Napoleans on or stick with VK...?
