An good look at the re development thats going to be hanppening in Chesterfield, well proposed anyhow.
The West Bars and waterside bits look quite interesting.

Just read also that the tesco is going to be Europe's largest. 995 Spaces under the store and more outside.

Well some CFC related stuff
And a small pic of the ground, if you look closely you can see Dave Allen's car in the car park

Posted Image

And what about The Glassworks stadium as the new name...

Also just found out that Dobbie's is owned by tesco....never new that.

Just hoping the Hotel where the car auctions was doesn't look like Mr Perez's "Benidorm" hotel down Chatsworth road.

Oh and the one on the right of my profile picture is the reason i am scowering the internet at 2.05 am on a Thursday morning. haha

Thanks- interesting stuff (but I find it difficult to see what they are proposing in places. Maybe I'm just being thick but the random pictures from other places don't help).

Did you get the Tesco info from another site? Frightening to think Chesterfield may become a'Tesco Town' on a huge scale.

'The Glassworks Stadium' would only work if a company named 'The Glassworks' outbid all others for the naming rights. Maybe it will become the 'Tesco Stadium'.
These go to eleven.

Just spotted it trawling through the web, along came an advert for a Chinese Takeaway for sale near the soon to be football ground and Tesco...the advert stated that the take away was near to whats going to be Tesco's largest store in Europe....believe it or not who knows . Or even buy the takeaway as that area could be a prime site

I can see a bit of a flaw in that plan.... not many people get a Chinese on their way to or from the match, and if people are going to Tesco then it's odds on they'll buy food to eat at home.

If the new stadium is all it's cracked up to be, perhaps a Prawn Sandwich shop near the ground would make a bob or two.
These go to eleven.

2 up Near Lidl

Burger King, Little Chef, at least 4 sandwhich shops on Shef Road in the direction of Whit Moor roundabout.

Would expect the old Merc place to be snapped up sooner or later too.

Long time message board reader, first time poster!

I was at a party the other week no where near Chesterfield and got chatting to a pal who didn't realise I supported CFC. He casually mentioned 'Oh, our company is sponsoring them soon, in fact I think we're naming the stadium'.

According to him it's going to be the B2Net Stadium and he though they would also become some form of shirt sponsors. Apparently it's a bit of a punt from his boss as it's been sold to him that we'll be in the Championship in 3-4 seasons time so he thinks it's worth the gamble.

He seemed to think it was mentioned on their website somewhere but I can't see it.

First post over, you probably won't hear from me again! If it turns out to be true I want to keep my 100% prediction status in tact!!!

If you look at some of the earlier images of how the ground will look you will see advertising hoardings with B2Net on them. Coincidence??????????????

I kind of know the owner of that company (he and his missus are friends of a friend)...and i know an employee there too who's middle management.

Next time I see either i'll ask them. I think this is very plausable though.
