So what role does DA now have in Wednesday? What would now be stopping him taking over here? (assuming he is actually the investor) Is this the moment we were waiting for?

Can someone in the know explain it to me?

Dave Allen has no role in Wednesday now.
His only link is the fact he is still one of 4 major shareholders and presently can't get any mug to buy them off him and be saddled with a huge stake in a club that is debt ridden to the tune of 27 million.

New Wednesday chairman says on radio today that he hopes one of the 4 parties can agree a takeover by 31st march.
That does not mean DA will get the cash then just an agreement, so if he is interested he cannot move until April at the earliest.
Could be next season before the new investor, good job the ground build is still not started.

You can have 9% in as many clubs as you like, and still own one outright.

DA owns 10% of the owls. If he so chooses, he can tranfer 1% of his owls shares to anyone, perhaps `ma`, and still take over at CFC.

He could still keep his shares, and `buy` a holding company that owns the ground and the club, while `ma` still retains nominal control.

Its too simplistic to simply say he cant take over. There are many ways to skin a cat.
A new hope.

Interesting interview with the new Chairman on RS.

When asked why Kevan Walker was required to leave the club, he stated that a "change of culture" was needed.

Given that Allen has repeatedly referred to those that disagreed with him as "cretins" and Walker was held in low regard by numerous callers to RS, i wonder if the change of culture he speaks of is one that includes seeing fans as customers rather than a nuisance best ignored?

Mind you, they should fit right in at Saltergate...

So why doesn't anyone "want to a cat"
