1) If it is £250k plus, take it. We'd not get that at a tribunal.
2) Given that LR is the man in the job until the "new investor" steps in, we have two choices - either let LR spend it or sit on it and give it to the new man. It doesn't take much thinking about to realise that we'd have to let LR spend it, since to keep it for his successor would appear to confirm the doubts that have been aired about LR's future, and the club have seemed anxious to avoid doing this. To fail to replace Ward at all is to play with only Lester up front. The answer might be to get a Barnsley player in to the end of the season on loan as part of the deal, and keep the wedge for the new man.
