Was last night Ricco's "Alex Ferguson's Moment"?

On the otherhand, the last time we won 5-1 at home, was also the season Roy Mac got the sack and we go relegated!
Ah, football: it's a funny old game......

, I wondered if the result last night will be a turning point for Ricco and he goes on to be CFC's most successful manager: ever?

We also went on a good cup run the last time we won 5-1 in a season, ahh drat we're already out the league cup. I'd rather us concentrate on promotion anyway.
Shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet last night as that would have given the defence more confidence, instead they still looked shaky and i will fear everytime Notts County have an attack just like i feared last night for every Aldershot attack.
The performance and result last night may give a fair few players the confidence they were lacking though. I was quite impressed with Goodall in midfield, ward was excellent - far better than at Lincoln. Downes showed that we need him at centre back to partner page. I had no complaints with Austin coming on when we were under pressure at the end providing he played better than at Lincoln which was hard not to do. Carson still has to improve, he looks young and experienced. Val looked decent enough when he came on - and if Lester isn't fit for saturday i think he should get the nod, plus also i think Lowry is better in his usual right midfield position, he doesn't look enough of a threat up front.
Although Aldershot were poor and left gaps for Jamie to expose we still had to win and we did that in front of the saltergate faithful in style, rico has probably saved himself for a while longer, doesn't sound like hubbard had any intention of sacking him while we have 4 games in two weeks, but i think he's done enough with last nights result to keep him in a job for a a while longer, after all it was our biggest win for two seasons and rico's biggest win as manager.
Just depends how we handle Notts County on saturday, given their results so far a draw would be a good result but if rico really wants to win fans over a win against a side who have only lost one game so far this season is the way to do it! A loss and it'll show than Aldershot was just a good performance against a pub team.

you don't think 6' is tall enough for a keeper then?

Suppose it's a similar thing to Lee, he didn't look tall enough but he's a similar height. Keepers usually tend to be taller, the bigger the better.

Height is important but not the only factor. Its equally valid to say the more agile the better. eg Shay Given.

As usual I agreee completely, if it hadn't been the 'Jamie Ward Show' then Goodall, Lowry and Niven would have competed for MOM. I feel we will go on from this and beat County on Saturday, then continue a good run up the table.

Also, when I was watching the interview my computer was doing that annoying thing when it keeps pausing. Has anyone noticed how funny Rico's face is? Next time you watch it, watch it through again and keep pausing it...It made me laugh, anyway!

So what he should have said was, it'd be nice to win our 2 home games in a row? If thats the case, then I'm not being funny, but I'd expect that of a manager anyway!
