Well well well, Mr Hubbard might have grown a pair whilst being away, although he didn't say it in as many words I get the feeling Rico is outta here win lose or draw, i think he delivered what he had to say quite well and did address what many of us wanted addressing, Bunkum results, players attitude and endeavour, confirmation of the new investor although no names After all the wondering if the mystery investor and the new ground was just pie in the sky I was convinced for the first time I might add that this is for real, he also made some good points regarding the supporters and for once we didn't get the blame, well not entirely anyway, he seems to have realised that there's many things to spend our hard earned on other than watching town and as such seems to me anyhow quite determined to put it right on the field. it seems like he issued a major b ollocking to all involved, and about B****Y time.
There will be people who see the interview differently but i for one feel like donning my shirt and wandering down Saltergate tomorrow with a whole new outlook.
Mind you I have been inadvertantly sniffing brake fluid all evening and that might be impairing my thoughts, so we'll see what happens over the next few days.
But on a scale of recent hubbard interviews this is one of his best.

It is a very good interview...and an honest one.

I also thought it was a good interview.
I think the last sentence summed up everyones feelings he wants to see the attititude of the players tomorrow. In other words like us he thinks they aren't playing for him. That's my take on it

Well let's face it...Ward and Downes aside...the individual performances from players haven't help the situation at all have they. That doesn't mean Rico doesn't deserve criticising...but we've not really had many great individual efforts aside from the 100% ward has been putting in. Lester shows glimmers of class but he's still getting match sharpness back...and Downes has been one of the best players this time around.
Truth is...like you say...they're not playing for him. Majorly disappointing. And I suppose from Rico's point of view...you sign players on on their reputation, you know what they can do...you get them here assemble the side with the players you had...and nothing. squat. His tactics haven't been good...but the signings haven't either. And players like Picken have...well...the decline is frightening.

listen to the interview...his words are interesting. He doesn't brush the situation under the carpet so to say...he isn't happy with rico nor the players nor the results...he understands the fans frustrations and he feels the same. I think you should give him just this one chance.

Yes but .. I think from his comments Rico is on the way out.
I reckon a poor result v Aldershot will confirm it and so I hope that happens tomorrow, for the sake of the club's future.
I thought Hubbard also referred to a group of investors ?

Barrie's known for a few weeks now that Rico has no long term future at the Club, Rico knows it and so do the players. It certainly explains the performances on the pitch.

Yeah I was really surprised by that. That's serious investment...and its been paid for. Seems a lot goes off behind the scenes...and a lot of frustration (now Barrie if you're reading this is a tip) is perhaps down to the fans being in the dark asto developments.
If we knew over half a million was being spent towards our future in the new project...for me personally it'd somewhat help my sometimes cynical stance towards the club. Communication is key. If they keep us up to date only has to be a bi-weekly summary of events...then this place would be a lot more content. And there would be less fiction and more facts.
