Looking ahead however...
2008/09 - brilliant, challenges for player of season
2009/10 - good squad player back in 1st Division
2010/11 - spends most of his time trying to teach Niven how to bend a free kick!
No one can deny it's an ambitious move by Rico though - well done.

Took him 7 weeks to pull it off. Congrats Rico.
It will be very interesting to see if our man gets labelled 'overweight'. Barrel chested and definitely not silph like. Not unlike another member of the squad. in build

But the boy Rico done good! Again!!!
We are obviously getting bankrolled by somebody on the sidelines, who? I don't care at the minute, just looking forward to what should be a cracking season

NOW can some of the fans FINALLY LAY OFF the manager and Big Barry and let's get behind the lads and hopefully get the numbers up at Saltergate, because contrary to what some think the lads are not going to do it if the fans aren't with um!!

Lets see.
I saw him play a lot for Ipswich and he didn't track back, tried to do to much on the ball and gave it away far to often for my liking.
Sorryto be a pesimist as I am normally completely the opposite but like I put above I have seen Currie play enough games to make a judgement imo.
Saying that I hope I am wrong and he has learnt from his mistakes at Ipswich. Fresh start and all that.
Good Luck Daz in another Town shirt.

Im sure you wont hear much from them for a few days, but then the exitement of this signing will die down and they will be back moaning as much as ever, interesting to see if any will have the grace to at least give Rico hus due on this signing before they start moaning again

This is league 2 for christs sake. All he needs to do is use the ball well when he is given it. I reckon he will be afforded the luxury of not having to track back much - Picken will do the running

Hopefuly he will but he may have the same opinion of you and think oh well it's only L2.
Saying that he may have learnt how to use the ball better now which I hope is the case.

When everyone was putting names forward for Riccos replacement lots of people were putting Adams name forward as the messiah. He now goes for a player to play in a higher league to us who then opts to play for town and so is automatically not able to look decent when he drops a level. Perhaps it's a good job we didn't get Adams in as manager as it looks like he isn't a very good judge of a player.

Just like Jack Lester? I hope so
He has been brought in for his quality and experience, and he will assist a lot of goals imo
