Don't put the mortgage down on it just yet but it might be worth an each way bet (any League club in Lincolnshire for a place :ninja: )

Mind you, I used to live in Lincolnshire - let's just say it is a bold choice for a young man to make. Once he's tired of the bright lights of Lincoln (that would be about 45 minutes after he arrives) there isn't really much left unless you have a particular interest in the history and horticulture of Brussel Sprouts.

He could come and visit me. Wonder if he's any good at gardening? Mines a mess and I really can't be bothered at the mo.

BBC picks up on Howard's finely-crafted hints here.

Given that any fee is likely to be pretty small, how about we say "Have him for nowt, but give us a 50% sell-on?"

I imagine just the one word needs picking out. If he has "issues" with LR then he'll have the same issues with any manager whose team selection ideas don't always match his, which will most likely be every other manager in the League, at one time or another. Perhaps they've offered first dibs at Jacko's overcoat collection. Perhaps the gurgling Fosse Dyke is more reminiscent of the mighty Danube than the Hipper is. Perhaps he's homesick - Lincoln is about 50 miles closer to Budapest. On reflection, though, "money" is likely to be the answer.

The only reason he would go there instead of staying here would be money. I cant see them being favoured for promotion where as (touch wood) we with a few more signings
in the Page mould would be fancied. With Luton's problems & doubts over Rotherham & gills reguardin possible point penalties you expect the 3 teams from the play offs just gone
Bradford, Town & a couple of others to be pushing for top spot & i cant see Lincoln being 1 of them!

As for "issues" with Rico, am i missing something? I've not heard of anything.

He'd probably be first choice at LIncoln and he will be 4th in pecking order here so he might just want to play matches

I think he would be a decent partner for Page. Better than Downes and Austin.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

The only defender who should be picked before him is Page! We dont know what Rico has in mind for Austin weather he'll be centre back or left back & as
for Downes cant we ring Lincoln & offer him to them instead!

The number of player of the month awards Kovacs got not 2 mention coming second in player of the season shows he was clearly 1 of our best players so how can
he go from that to being a fringe squad player?? Its beyond me!

It's not up to us though is it. Ricco chose Downes over him at the end of the year so we have to assume he rates him more highly and if he does choose to play Austin in the centre Kovacs will be behind him for sure

Which is fair enough i suppose considering his experience at a higher level. At this stage its all if's & buts! Where will Rico play him? Hows his fitness & legs?

But to be 4th choice behinds DOWNES! After a season like he's just had then i really dont blame Kovacs if he does go, i dont want him to but thats what will
probably happen!

I know its a clean slate & i aint slagging Rico off but Kovacs was 1 of the biggest plus's of last year so why mess with it?

Kovacs & Page would make a dream centre back pairing & he would learn a hell of a lot from him but it looks like it'll never happen now!
