The bottom line is that any club has to do whatever it thinks best to maximise its income. If a club is in a huge catchment area it can set its stall out to attract loads more fans by drastic reductions in season ticket prices - if it isn't, it can't. In the case of CFC there just isn't the number of people in the catchment area to repay a big discount by dramatically increased attendances, and there isn't a middle way - the drop in season ticket prices has to be really dramatic to create interest.
Might be worth a try come new stadium time, but there would have to be some very tight deadlines built in to stop the board getting egg on their faces.

Chesterfield Borough council said that the catchment area for Chesterfield was in the region of 250k when bidding for a regional super casino. Still I bet you know better than CBC. Its all just excuses isnt it?
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Here we go.......

All the noise comes from the back off the Kop....Now I don't suppose you have been up there but it is along way down.........

All the singers are coming down from the top of the Kop to go in the Bradford End......there will be about 1,000 of us in there!

can you tell me why anyone on here actually cares?

My compliments to the Council - at least they're considerably more optimistic than you are.

Does it not state on your official website on 11-05-08 that 4,400 tickets had been sold of which 3,400 were adult tickets?

I couldn't give a toss what's been sold since.

You couldn't give toss but you still post a link thats about 2 weeks old...............So in theory you were saying that we have not sold 6,400 tickets.......Thats my argument you muppet!

It might be difficult for a no mark like you to understand, but at 11-05-08 you had sold 4,400 tickets.

A morque?

Ask any fan in this league where the best atmosphere was this year.........

And finish above us....Don't be soo foooking stupid

You've never witnessed valley parade at full voice mate so you would never know!

But what I do know is that the fans are going to be at least 100 metres nearer pitch level and seen as though we have got the best away support in the league you can't really criticize!
