The previous highest whilst at the Galpharm was 9,500. Their aim now is to break through the 14,000 barrier beating a record set way back in 1970.

Bradford have currently sold 4,400 season tickets and supporters have until 15/06/08 to hit the 9,000 mark for the 'buy 1, get 1 free' offer to kick in.

Apart from having a full ground what advantage is there is selling 6000 season tickets at £100 each.

Our revenue would drop even with the extra Bovril sales.

Now if we could sell 10000 tickets at £100 each that might start making sense

They've had 3500 pledges - which are not sales - updated on their official website on 15th May - they'll then have to collect the brass which will no doubt put a few off - nevertheless, a good scheme

I was going to say - this has been kicking around my way for a while but Burslem just isn't big enough to support 5,000 season tickets outright. My understanding was that if they reached around the 4500 mark they would still allow the scheme to go ahead. Plus, they're counting concession season tickets in the total for the pledges as well. Think they'll struggle to make the deadline, but a good idea as you said...

The bottom line is that any club has to do whatever it thinks best to maximise its income. If a club is in a huge catchment area it can set its stall out to attract loads more fans by drastic reductions in season ticket prices - if it isn't, it can't. In the case of CFC there just isn't the number of people in the catchment area to repay a big discount by dramatically increased attendances, and there isn't a middle way - the drop in season ticket prices has to be really dramatic to create interest.
Might be worth a try come new stadium time, but there would have to be some very tight deadlines built in to stop the board getting egg on their faces.

A few years ago, following a particularily enthusiastic response to a promotion at Saltergate, i asked someone involved with the Club why we didn't do it more often?

The response was "Well we could, but it all depends on how the team are doing".

The bottom line is that Town could offer tickets for next to nowt, but unless punters are confident that they'll see winning football it's all a waste of time.

And what's the prevailing mood amongst punters at the moment?
Never underestimate the stupidity of people

It's easier if you have a massive stadium standing empty as you have more seast available to make it work

We could fill Saltergate with £100 season ticket holders and it wouldn't earn as much as a half full one

I doubt there is any point in doing this while at Saltergate.

If we get promotion, and have the new ground ready for the following season, then there would be momentum and interest generated, and that could well be the ideal time to do such an offer, half price if we sell 4000 or what ever it would be.

Perhaps an offer where you get a kids ST for £1 with an adults at full price in the family stand?
A new hope.

Considering we sold 4,000 season tickets in the space of 3 weeks last season...I think it's fair to say that we will reach the target easy!

May I just correct you on your figures............. We have sold 4,675 ADULT tickets..........5,971 overall......also this hasn't been updated since Thursday so we should be up to at least 6,500!

Bring on next season WOOP WOOP!.............plus we've got the Bradford end back!

The atmosphere will finally be back at Valley Parade! ;)

Here we go.......

All the noise comes from the back off the Kop....Now I don't suppose you have been up there but it is along way down.........

All the singers are coming down from the top of the Kop to go in the Bradford End......there will be about 1,000 of us in there!
